I do a lot of driving and sit at a desk all day, like many of us I’m sure, and ended up with really painful neck and lower back pain. Having put this off for far too long, I booked the Osteopath at Apollo and was seen by Nigel. I was a little bit nervous at first but Nigel was very reassuring and quickly diagnosed the source of the pain. I felt a little sore afterwards but my range of motion in my neck especially has improved tremendously and I now plan to see Nigel on a fortnightly basis. What do you love most about your job?
I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals, whether that is returning to sports, getting back to participating in your daily activities, avoid surgery where possible or rehabilitate after surgery or sports injuries. I know how debilitating pain or an injury can be and so I do absolutely everything I cant to get you back to your best as soon as possible.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Following 10 years’ experience in the sector, within the NHS and private hospitals, I decided to move into private practice. I believe Physiotherapy and Osteopathy should be enjoyable with full participation between you and your practitioner. Teamwork builds trust and yields great outcomes, and I feel that I working within private practice allows me to help others achieve these outcomes in the best way possible.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We take every precaution to ensure that all of our patients are safe, including for Covid-19. Whilst it is no longer a requirement, I still wear a face mask throughout the treatment session and my hands will always be sterilised before each treatment.
