We have used Anthony Edwards Kitchens for 2 projects and have been delighted with both the kitchens, we were so pleased with the first I was not sure I wanted to move house and was worried I would not recreate such a lovely space again, but they did and I love it, in fact probably more than the first.

The quality of the kitchens have been amazing and also the carefully considered design to compliment the age and style of both houses.
Anthony Edwards have been consistently easy to deal with and their attention to detail has been second to none.
They were particularly patient with us for the first project where my husband and I had different views and we had to work through this which did result in our dream kitchen.
Project number 2 was much easier and we left much of the design and specification of the appliances to Anthony Edwards due to the trust and professionalism shown in the first project. Again the attention to detail on unit colour, handle style, wall colours and overall design was impeccable and the lighting was amazing.

I worked with Anthony Edwards 5 years ago to create a beautiful kitchen dining space in my Victorian house. I loved it! Having recently moved to a more modern house and wanting a completely different look this time, I had no hesitation in contacting Tony again to ask for his help re-designing two rooms to create a large open space which is a combination of kitchen, dining room and living room – and which is very much the heart of my new home.

This time around I wanted something open plan and contemporary, but simple and understated. Having pretty clear ideas about what I do and don’t like, I wasn’t interested in buying a generic off-the-peg kitchen. I’m far more interested in being involved in the whole design process and having something completely unique which reflects my personality and tastes, but at the same time is functional, well-made and which will stand the test of time.

I knew a couple of walls needed to come down to create the space I wanted, but Tony pushed me further than I had anticipated, to reconfigure doors and windows too - and the effect is brilliant. The whole space is now geared towards views of my garden which is my passion. I have a bright, spacious, stylish and flexible space which is a pleasure to cook in, relax in and entertain friends and family. The kitchen gives me exactly what I need in terms of space and storage and functionality, but it feels like part of the overall living space rather than simply being an add-on.

Tony’s team are always helpful and friendly, and generous with their time and ideas. They managed the whole process for me from start to finish bringing in excellent trades people – builders, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, flooring specialists, decorators and of course the kitchen fitters – all of whom were incredibly hard working with an excellent eye for detail. I didn’t have an enormous budget and Tony worked very hard to pare things back when necessary to make sure we kept on track financially. The team at Anthony Edwards have also been extremely helpful offering advice on extra items such as soft furnishings and lighting which are critical in ensuring the overall look is cohesive.

I would definitely recommend Anthony Edwards Kitchens to anyone who is looking for a top quality, well-designed, original kitchen space for their home. More...

We are absolutely delighted with our kitchen. Instead of a gloomy, impractical and impossible to keep clean corridor, we have a light, spacious kitchen which is a pleasure to work or just be in - and all within the original footprint.

Tony's genius lies in imaginative use of space, with elegant solutions for all those awkward corners, and maximising the efficiency of the work-space without compromising design. The problem of providing enough storage space without recreating the corridor effect was solved by two large larder cupboards. These have lots of shelves at just the right heights, and folding doors for ease of access. Large drawers under the work-top take all our pans, utensils and cutlery, and one is devoted to all those bits, like pens, batteries, drawing pins and elastic bands that everyone collects and no-one knows what to do with.

We had clear ideas of what we wanted from our kitchen, and Tony and his team quickly came up with a design which suited us. They were always helpful and patient, and, by use of CAD, could show us how things would look, so we could be confident about the finished kitchen. Choosing the colours and materials from the large range of samples was very exciting, and the CAD image confirmed our choices.

The work involved moving a door and putting in extra windows, so was not a straight forward kitchen refit, but all went forward according to plan. Tony and his team were very good about sorting out the glitches which occur in any project, and all was completed on time. Tony over-saw the project throughout, often calling in after work to check all was well.

We have seen some of the large kitchens Anthony Edwards has designed, and they are amazing. However, we thoroughly recommend this company to anyone who has a modest or impractical space, as our kitchen has been totally transformed as a work-space and the combination of materials and colours make it beautiful and fun to be in. I introduced Anthony Edwards on a recent project where I knew that the client wanted a high quality kitchen, a custom design, the 'designer touch' with attention to detail and nitty gritty, but she was afraid that this would not be within realistic realms. I was confident that she could get the kitchen they wanted made to bespoke design within their budget and think that the end result is fantastic and is exactly what we have envisioned when designing the space within the context. I am pleased that having put Anthony Edwards forward, they delivered a fantastic kitchen, worked well with our contractor, and the Client is very pleased with the finished space, the new extension, the kitchen design responds well to the space, quality of light, enjoyment of the garden, and context. I felt confident that the client would have the same attention to detail and thought process in design and completion that we try to provide. Everyone has agreed, the new Kitchen Dining space delivers all the client was hoping to achieve. It is a good relationship working with Anthony Edwards, I look forward to completing further projects with them on board on the future, for our customer's satisfaction. We chose Anthony Edwards Kitchens (AEK) following an initial consultation at our house, where Tony brought a range of catalogues and books describing the products he could achieve. He had a very challenging brief from us, where the lady of the house wanted a ‘funky disco kitchen’ and the poor long suffering, ‘boring,’ husband wanted a more ‘traditional farm house kitchen’ in keeping with the 18th Century property in question.

We had four design consultations, which as time progressed, became less marriage counselling, and more mood board focussed, and Tony provided samples and swatches of various materials and palettes. AEK were able to give us strong ideas of what did, and didn’t work, in terms of materials and colours, and provided accurate CAD drawings so that we could visualise the end product.

On acceptance of the design, materials and costs, a clear contract with staged payment schedule was signed. We chose to use our own builder for structural alterations and floor laying, and our own decorator and electrician, purely because they were already working in a different area of the house. We used AEK’s kitchen fitters – Gary and son Liam – who were two of the politest and most affable people you are ever likely to meet.

The kitchen fitting went well, issues and minor changes were well managed, and the schedule was maintained. It’s worth noting that if you do provide some of the trades yourself, there is additional stress on the householder to ensure the trades they provide are able to keep to the schedule agreed.

Who knew we’d end up with a fantastic ‘funky’ rustic kitchen with a palette of grey units, dark wood and cream granite surfaces, brushed stainless steel handles with copper accents, and most importantly of all - a giant glitter ball. The craftsmanship is top-class, and the service has always been helpful and friendly. I did not want a "clinical" kitchen so I am now delighted to have the sort of kitchen which I had often visualised and which has been created for me by Anthony Edwards. It is a bright, cheerful and homely room incorporating all the details which I had specified, e.g. wooden knob on cupboard doors and drawers, a Belfast sink, old fashioned taps etc.. More...

I was lucky enough to actually call Anthony Edwards kitchens after receiving a flyer from them, something I have never done before. We got two quotes from designers and found AE the most reasonable. We initially had a budget in mind and it was by and large kept to, only changing as things changed as the build progressed so there were no horrible budget shocks as we were kept informed all the way through the design period. After many consultations we received the designs which we loved. Also they provided photos of how the finished kitchen would look and the completed kitchen looked exactly as the photos showed, so we did get what we expected. We found Tony who was the designer we had most contact with, listened and was keen to work both with us and the builders to provide the loveliest kitchen. We had many delays because of building problems but Tony was always very obliging about fitting in around our problems. The fitters, Gary and Liam were amazingly good craftsmen and so lovely to have in the house. All in all, we found Anthony Edwards Kitchens to be professional, reliable and a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with our new kitchen which has transformed our house and the way we live in it. It was not simply a new kitchen but involved major alterations to the structure including the removal of the original outside wall of the house so that we could incorporate our dining room extension into the new large room.

Tony's design and advice were superb, nothing was too much trouble for him and the quality of the units is outstanding. He project managed a team of very professional craftsmen and builders, who were all a delight to have in the house.
