I have been working with Amir Mahdavi for five years now in various fields including photography, retouching, videography and artistic direction. Over the past years, Amir has always demonstrated an excellent professionalism. His unique flair and vision has always brought an extra dimension to my musical project. Amir has directed various photoshoots I have been involved in including art covers and music videos. By working with Amir, I know that I can trust his unique eye to enhance my initial vision. His work ethic is impeccable and working with him is always a pleasure. I have recommended Amir to several people around me and I have always had great returns on a visual level but also on a personal level. I would recommend him to anyone looking for creating meaningful visual art. More...

Q&As

The secret lies in the composition. And I look forward to telling my secrets on set.

What is the idea behind your project?
What details are mandatory?
How many pictures do you need?
What about retouching? And the retouching level?
Do you like to improvise or you prefer to plan out the entire photoshoot?

Making new connections. Getting inspired by people to create unique work. The opportunity to use my experience to bring people's ideas to life, and also learn from each and every project. The chance to show people true beauty through the lens of my camera.

I come from a family of artists. I was 15 when I first picked up a camera. And the camera felt like a part of my body. I'm a better version of myself when I'm out there, taking pictures.

When they will see the final work, they will realise that it's exactly what they had in mind, if not better. I'm a hard-working photographer, always looking to stay on top of things, curious about technology and art. I work fast because I have my own set of rules to make a project successful.

I can take projects that involve only photo editing or retouching.

I try to plan the photoshoot ahead of our meeting so we can work respecting social distancing. I wear PPE during the entire shoot, to keep customers safe even when they need close-up shots.

Services

I have experience working with models, fashion designers who wanted to showcase their collections, couples who wanted a few pictures for themselves or Art graduates who had a creative project for university

I have been working with London-based musicians for the past 5 years. My work focuses on single tracks and album photography, concert photography, art direction and videography.

I have worked with numerous London-based models who needed shots for their portfolio.

Editing and retouching photographs, including colour correction, skin retouching and photo resizing for social media platforms.

When I'm not doing photography, I love to come up with ideas and scenarios for my roster of musicians. In 2020, I created and directed the video 'In the dark' for Diego Philips.
