However on The Day all my worries quickly disappeared as John took control with ease organising our guests in very personable manner - he was an absolute delight to be around, he had everyone's attention when he needed it and made the experience very enjoyable. A professional friend - making sure everything was captured in detail. As a first time Bride at the age of 40 something who cried on the day, I like many other Brides I'm sure - felt that I had rushed up the aisle, without my lippy, and burst in to tears as I reached my husband to be! I couldn't remember hearing the oh so special songs or seeing the all important faces of our family and friends. We decided to use Altimate for our wedding photographs based on the recommendations of a good friend. We found the price very reasonable in comparison with others. The whole process was very efficient and prior visits to locations enabled shots to be pre-planned and discussed. The photographer excelled at organising the guests to obtain the required photographs and carefully followed weather<span id="moreReview524293" class="hide"> conditions to ensure the very best use of the time available. Formal pictures were supported by a wealth of less formal pictures which very much captured the spirit of the day. In every way possible, John provided a discreet, high quality service with beautiful photos which captured our wedding day perfectly. <br /><br />John was extremely well organised and yet relaxed in taking our photos. The taking of the photos went very smoothly and there was a superb combination of the list of photos we had asked for and further poses suggested by John. As we were the third amongst our group of friends to use John for our wedding we knew that we would get a really level of service however John exceeded our expectations. <br /><br />The pre- wedding meetings are great, he gave us fantastic input with our timings, was open and honest about the photo ideas we brought to him with regard to whether they were achievable in our church and venue and was happy<span id="moreReview397892" class="hide"> to offer his opinion/ tips and knowledge that can only be gained from doing so many weddings. <br /><br />On the day our weather was less than great and very wet however looking back through the pictures you wouldn't know this as John managed to balance indoor shots with the creative use of trees/ gazebos/ porches to enable us to have some fantastic outdoor shots without getting too wet. <br /><br />John is incredibly organised and adaptable offering so much than someone who arrives to take photos which has been our experience at some other weddings. <br /><br />Kathryn and Mark Whittaker.</span> More...

Excellent service from sta to finish. Clear pricing on the website helped us choose Altimate. From the initial friendly yet very professional consultation to the final editing of our wedding album I cannot reccommend Altimate highly enough. <br />Attention to detail such as complimenting the photographers suit to wedding party. Shockingly tasteless photographs, unprofessional judgemental photographer. Did not take any notice of our brief regarding no typically posed photos. No patience with our more elderly guests, our whole party found him to be arrogant and ignorant. No respect for our wishes and to round the day off he ripped the decorative grass our of my husbands buttons hole as he was adjusting its position and<span id="moreReview342380" class="hide"> said "You dont need that". We cut the photography time short so we did not have to endure is disgusting behaviour. Needless to say we don not have any of his photos printed, they a on a dvd. My husband and I feel a huge warning sign may have been the disappointment on his face when we did not wish for his "signature pre wedding groom pose", the groom with his trousers round his ankles reading The Sun Newspaper while on the toilet!!! We had an intimate and informal wedding and fortunately had some beautiful moments captured by family and friends and Altimate's horrendous wedding photographs can stay in a box on our bookcase.<br /><br /><br />* Response*<br />I feel the need to respond to your comment. Unfortunately we have not found a suitable site to review our professional experience of your work. The simple fact that this review is written 5 years retrospectively speaks for itself that it is still a raw nerve having no displayable photos to depict our wedding day. The facebook photo on my wifes profile(which is a PRIVATE profile and none of the comments can be read!!) you refer to is THE ONLY photo we both feel able to display publicly and given the fee we paid for your work I feel 1 photo to reflect the day is measly, given the fact that we are all stood 2 feet apart forgive me if I don't feel this to be an accurate depiction of the day! After searching for photographers, we came across Altimate who not only were competitiveley priced but also looked very professional. John kindly showed us previous albums and we were very impressed and decided to book. John always kept in touch and arrived on time on our wedding day, which he organised very professionaly. We are thrilled with our fabulous wedding photos. We chose the option of having two photographers from Altimate which allowed us to have more formal shots and also lots of our wedding guests and details of the day. John was fantastic and came to look at our venues before the day to identify the best positions for shots. Our photo's were amazing! From first meeting John and throughout the day we were really impressed by the wonderful service he provided, it was second to none. My husband and I are so very pleased with the service that John at Altimate delivered from start to finish. After looking at a number of photographers, we chose John Dixon and Altimate to photograph our wedding in October 2008, and were delighted with the service we received. The price was extremely competitive, and the packages available were very flexible. John took time to find out exactly what we wanted (even down to a query about the mens suits so he could 'blend in' on the big day). John knew<span id="moreReview185214" class="hide"> the venue we had chosen and and it was obvious on the day that he had a good working relationship with the staff which meant everything went smoothly. John himself was a delight - he really felt like part of the wedding team, liaising with hotel staff to keep things moving, and joking with the guests whilst still managing to produce great photos. John was a fabulous photographer for our wedding. He really listened to what we wanted and took some fabulous formal and informal photo's of our day. I cannot rate the service high enough and have recommended already to friends who are engaged. John was approachable and interested in us as a couple. He found out a bit about us to make sure that our pics were personal to us and our style. All of the photo's were fantastic, especially the ones of our nieces which was something that we were particularly passionate about. The service provided by altimate images can only be described as exceptional. The pre-wedding planning was very thorough and exceptional to detail. Meeting with John the photographer was warm and inviting but very professional. Service on the day of our wedding was outstanding! The Senior Photographer, John, was very helpful on the day bossing our ushers around to get everyone organised. Following my initial enquiry, I was invited to the photographers home, where I was shown samples of previous weddings and an appropriate package was discussed. I was also recommended to view samples of digital photography on the Altimate website which were very confirming of this photographers professionalism and experience.
