Shannon, from All Paws, is incredibly insightful, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. She provided us with an invaluable written report, which contained many strategies for numerous challenges we were facing with our adolescent Vizsla. Because we have the written report we are able to reread her guidance and do a much better job of staying on track for getting our dog to repeat the desirable behaviours. He is so much better in the house now. I highly recommend having her help you with your dog. More...

Shanon is fantastic!

From our first training session, (of me rather than my puppy), she gave me clear, concise instructions, and explained how to practice with my dog.

She also explained why these methods work, and the dog psychology behind them, which was both interesting and reinforced the importance.

I got notes after every session, a shopping list including Amazon links, and recommendations for vets, food, toys, crates, and everything else a new puppy owner might desire!

From the time I picked up my puppy, Shanon was available for all my questions and concerns - both valid and stupid, and she’s never made me feel like I’m bothering her - which I’m sure I have 😂

Wolfy is possibly the best behaved 4 month old basset hound puppy in the country now 😀

What an amazing, calm, positive experience it has been working with Shanon. We have never owned a dog before and recently welcomed a lab puppy, ‘Pip’ into our lives (ouch! ). Thankfully Shanon has been a total life saver and has been there to give us all the advice, support and guidance we needed from the off. We have loved that Shanon has been super knowledgeable, has taken everything at a steady pace and has been totally non judgemental . There have certainly been times during the puppy owning process when it’s been tough and it’s so nice to be able to talk openly to Shanon. One thing we have really appreciated is knowing the reason why we are learning certain things rather than just being taught them - we feel it’s really helpful to be able to understand Pip, why we are asking her to do things in a certain way, why she might react the way she does, and what we can then do in return.
What a superstar, thanks Shanon!!! x

My two westies and I recently had a consultation with Shanon. She was wonderful, caring, understanding, kind and to the point. Her input had made a significant improvement in Alfred’s behaviour, and in our overall home dynamic. She also gave us tips for Alfred’s nutritional well-being that seem to be agreeing very well with him. Furthermore, Shanon has been in contact with us ever since, checking up on our family journey. Having just experienced Shanon’s advise and support from a first-time dog owner person perspective I cannot speak highly enough of her, she is super approachable, knowledgeable, professional and has been extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Dog training has been great, she is always in touch in case we need support or advise. I would definitely recommend her and wouldn't hesitate to use her again in the future. Our puppy is house trained at 3 months and very well behaved, he has been sleeping throughout the night for the last 6 weeks. Thank you Shanon for everything!! More...

Shanon came to us when our puppy was seven months old
We had been struggling with many things including leaving her home alone
Shanon told us that we needed to let our puppy know she was not the pack leader, which she certainly was when Shanon first came to help us.
After just a few weeks of following Shanon’s advice our puppy became calmer and less demanding of our attention and after just a month we were able to leave her home alone for up to an hour with no problems
Shanon’s advice was clear and achievable and she was available for support when needed.
I would highly recommend Shanon’s knowledgeable and professional support to other dog owners
We are now able to enjoy our puppy more and can see a happy future with her.

Allpawz was recommended by friends who also had a labrador. We are first time dog parents and found Shanon to be very knowledgeable about dog behaviour. She helped us understand our dog and his behaviours and gave us training tips which showed pretty much instant results. The sessions were followed by comprehensive notes on what we learnt and how we implemented it. There was a clear guidance on how many repetitions for any new command. I would give Shanon a super duper 10 stars ⭐️ if that’s possible. We have a gorgeous playful yet very well behaved dog. House and toilet trained by 12 weeks. Thank you 😊 More...

Shanon was great to work with, really understanding our young dog’s needs and how we can meet them and helping us to better understand them too. We came to Shanon off the back of a recommendation from a friend and couldn’t be more happy. The sessions before we brought our puppy home were so useful in preparing us for what was to come and ensuring we got the gear we need (and didn’t waste money on things we don’t need). The further follow up sessions with Shanon and our puppy have all been super helpful and structured, helping us ensure that we are training our puppy with confidence. Shanon’s patient and thorough explanations and demonstrations are great for all our family and the detailed follow up notes really help us make sure we are training our dog correctly - and she’s also on hand to answer ad hoc questions which is super reassuring for a new puppy owner such as myself. We would definitely recommend using Shanon’s services. More...

I cannot praise Shannon (Allpawz - Dog Behaviour and Training) highly enough. Her training programme, intuition and in-depth knowledge is 100% the reason we have a calm, responsive, gentle and well adjusted puppy. We were really struggling with our fur-baby at 6 weeks until we appointed Shannon as our trainer - and the results and progress was immediate and spectacular. Her methods (from behavioural to diet to exercises) are progressive, scientific and caring. I have no hesitation in giving a glowing 5 star review (would give 6 stars if I could). If you are looking for a trainer, do yourself and your dog a favour by appointing Shannon immediately. She writes up comprehensive notes after every session which is more than what previous trainers do (in my experience) and worth it’s weight in gold - as we refer back to them regularly. Shannon is the real deal! And we would be in a very different place without her. More...

I honestly cannot recommend Shanon from Allpawz enough! She has been a LIFESAVER!

She came on board when my Staffordshire bull terrier was 3 months old. I was clueless! I’ve never owned a staf before so this was a very daunting task. Shanon has made it an absolute pleasure.

Firstly, she loves my dog (daisy) like she was her own. She really wants the best for Daisy and tailors the training to Daisy’s personality and needs.

Secondly, Shanon is extremely knowledgeable. There’s no question that she can’t answer, no behaviour that she can’t explain. She was particularly helpful in terms of socialising daisy with other dogs and people. Daisy is now a super friendly and trusting girl who loves playing with all dogs and humans — I never have to worry about her being scared or aggressive. This makes my life a pleasure and I’m so grateful to Shanon for that.

Thirdly, she is AVAILABLE. I saw her weekly for sessions at my home in london, and after each of these she sent me a PDF summary of everything we covered, so that I always had a reference. However, I knew that I could (and still do!) text her any time with questions, concerns etc. I haven’t had a pup for a long time so I had MANY questions, and Shanon was always quick to respond and so helpful.

Finally, Shanon is just a lovely person and a delight to be around. Training was always fun for me and daisy, we laughed A LOT.

Shanon is truly the best of the best and she’ll be in Daisy’s life forever. Your dog will be in the best possible hands.

I am very grateful for all the help I received.

Before I requested help from Allpawz my Dog was relatively well behaved but because he was so young and also because he's a Spaniel he would have these frantic, mad moments where he became quite a handful.

Since I've been doing these sessions and doing the training provided by Allpawz it's like I have a different Dog. Much more calm. Not as needy for me as he used to be and when left on his own he doesn't get nearly as stressed.

Would highly recommend Allpawz if you are struggling with your Dog. The help provided is a great help and the outcome if well worth the money!

We contacted Shannon to work with our 4 month old puppy as we really needed some help with the continual biting, the jumping up and the chaos at mealtimes. Shannon’s approach was great as it looked at every aspect of our puppies environment, tackling the root cause and not just the symptoms. The techniques provided were simple to adopt (even for our children) and by sticking to the guidelines given, it’s been great to see the results. We now have calm at mealtimes, the biting and jumping is under control and we have the balance restored within our household. We also have a much happier dog! Shannon also provided great support outside of our sessions, assuring that we were on track and making the right progress. I would recommend Shannon to anyone who was considering getting some help with their dog. The principles that we now have in place have truly made the difference we needed. More...

Just wanted to say thank you to Shanon! I don't know how we would have coped with our new puppy had it not been for her guidance. She helped us create a daily routine which meant all of us were able to understand each other better.

She helped us understand what Lexi needs from us and how we can provide her with the structure she needs in order to feel safe, have time to play, time to learn as well as the time and space to rest.

You can see how much she loves dogs - she is caring, patient and very knowledgeable! She explains things in such a clear and easy to understand way and it was a pleasure having her with us for the training sessions.

Thank you Shanon! : )

Shanon has been a great support both before and after our lab puppy arrived. Always happy to answer questions, great session notes, really knowledgable and a pleasure to work with.

What would we do without Shanon? She has been such a fantastic support as first time owners of a puppy and her training methods have been a lot of fun. Always open to helping, she even does overnights which includes socialising with Kiki (the best). We couldn't recommend Shannon enough. More...

I cannot recommend Shanon enough. Our little puppy Dex is responding so well to all of the training we have learned. We've been working with Shanon from his age of 3 months and could see improvements in his wild puppy behaviour right away.

Every question we have is answered during our sessions and she’s able to explain to us practical ways to train him. She’s basically training us to train him, which really gives me a good understanding on how to make the right decisions.

I also love the work we can do with him at home, getting him to be well adjusted to our lives and acknowledging his challenges, his nature, and his breed so that we can give him the opportunity to be successful.

We’ve worked on lead training, resource guarding, becoming more friendly with strangers, the important commands, recall, and how to just chill (which has been so so important!).

She asks really intuitive questions and gives practical work. I love seeing this puppy grow into the best dog he can be.

Shanon came to help us with our little Dachshund puppy - he was our first dog so we really didn't know where to start with training him. Shanon was so friendly and encouraging and Teddy made such quick progress with the techniques that Shanon taught us. We couldn't recommend her enough! More...

Shanon by Allpawz has been amazing to work with! She has been taking good care of our Poppie, a Bichon Frise puppy, since her third week and we are very pleased with the results! Poppie is much calmer/well-behaved after each training session, while we feel more confident in addressing any tricky puppy issues by following Shanon’s directions. What we particularly found useful was the fact that Shanon provided a clear outline before each session, while at the end of the session she circulated take-home notes helping us to practice even more with Poppie on our own. I highly recommend Shanon to anyone looking for dog training/mentoring at any stage of their dog’s life. More...

HI Shanon

This is just to let you know how grateful and appreciative I am that I finally got you round to help me with a few behavioural issues I was still experiencing with Boetie.
You took the time to listen and understood what I wanted to achieve.
I could see immediately how you understood the dogs behaviour and you explained it in such a way that encouraged me to go forward with the training.
You gave me the confidence to implement the strategies that you demonstrated and then taught me to do.
After three days I have already seen a remarkable improvement which has empowered me so much.
I cant thank you enough.

Separation anxiety is an extremely prevalent problem in dogs these days. Dogs are pack animals and prefer to be in the company of their humans though they can learn to enjoy spending periods of time on their own.

Separation anxiety can manifest in many different ways including: barking or howling while alone, toileting in the house, destroying, chewing or scratching of household items/doors/door frames/shoes etc.

Less obvious signs that your dog may be suffering from anxiety while left alone include panting, pacing or drooling before you leave the house, following you around constantly within the home, nipping you as you try to leave or boisterous exuberant behaviour when you return home.

Complaints from neighbours about barking while you are out should be taken seriously as many councils reserve the right to issue large fines of up to £5000

There are many different types of aggression in dogs but they can be divided into two main categories: Dog to Dog Aggression and Dog to Person Aggression. Both types are very serious and professional help should be obtained in order to correctly identify the cause and devise an appropriate rehabilitation plan to deal with the behaviour.

There are very serious legal repercussions for aggressive dogs as set out in The Dangerous Dogs Act (1991), which also states that “a dog shall be regarded as dangerously out of control on any occasion on which there are grounds for reasonable apprehension that it will injure any person, whether or not it actually does so…”

If you are worried that your dog may injure someone (including friends, family or another dog) please get in touch to discuss how I can help you.

Barking is a natural and normal dog behaviour and is even encouraged in many instances such as guarding the home and warning us of danger. Sometimes, however, this behaviour gets out of hand and can drive both you and your neighbours crazy.

There are many different possible causes for your dogs incessant barking and I will help you get to the bottom of it, before devising a plan to help you control the behaviour and reduce barking to an acceptable level.

Many councils can issue large fines (up to £5000) for dogs that bark excessively, so for the sake of both your pocket and your sanity, get in touch if you need to curb your dogs barking!

There are few things more exciting than bringing home a new puppy but the decision to bring one into your family is not one to be taken lightly. Just like children, puppies will closely observe your behaviour and will learn how to interact with its new environment based on your actions (whether you act with intention or not!).

The old adage “prevention is better than cure” could not be more appropriate in the case of a puppy. A New Puppy Consultation can help set you up to raise your puppy with intention and with all the right information, processes and training in place, helping him grow into a happy, balanced and treasured part of your family.

The sooner you start the better, so if you already have your puppy and are thinking about booking a consultation, don’t delay! Its easier to form good habits than to break bad ones!
