We were completely let down by this company as they failed to provide two of our wedding cars. They claimed it was due to the heat but didn't like when my mechanical fiancé offered suggestions to help, other companies we spoke to with the same cars claimed this company were lying to us and we managed to book the same vintage cars through a different company with no heat issues or concerns on the day. Louise Taylor, one of the owners, was unbelievably rude to us, screaming at us down the phone, which ended with myself (the bride) in complete tears 2 days before my wedding! They caused us soo much stress in the days leading up to our wedding and left us £300 out of pocket as they wouldn't cover the cost to get replacement cars on such short notice and getting a full refund from them was a huge struggle. We booked and paid a year and a half before our wedding date. We found out they're collectors cars which they don't like to hire out and are very precious about so especially do not use this company in the summer or winter months as they won't want to use their cars! Knowing British weather, it's safe just not to book with this company and go with someone more reliable. It will always leave our wedding week tainted!! More...

Hello Gemma, we totally understand that you were very upset with the fact that we had to make the very hard decision not to send out 2 of the 3 cars that you had booked. Your wedding was on one of the hottest days of the year with temperatures in the mid 30’s and an extreme weather warning in place. Given all of the facts, the distance to your wedding & journey time of approx. 90 minutes from our base to you, we took the hard decision that due to possible problems that the cars could face because of the heat, we would not be able to supply 2 of the cars. Vintage & classic cars do not have the same cooling systems etc as modern cars and the risk of causing damage to the engine etc is greater. If we have had a problem on the day, then you would not have thanked us for it. We run all of our cars on very well maintained but original running gear and to safeguard our cars, huge repair bills and for the sake of weddings in the future, this is why we made our decision. We have had these cars for 24 years and have an incredible amount of knowledge on them, to the point that other companies and individuals come to us for advice on them. After much discussion and extreme levels of stress at our end, this is the first time in 24 years and thousands of great weddings that we have ever had to make such a difficult decision, and this decision was not taken lightly. Yes we are precious about our cars, but we have worked extremely hard for the past 24 years to build and maintain the beautiful collection of cars that we have, for lots of other people to enjoy for many years in to the future. As you are well aware, but failed to mention, we did supply, as booked our 1936 Rolls Royce Open Tourer for use as the main bridal car on the day. This was the car that you felt was the most important to you on the day and we were able to supply this with the use of a transporter and extra staff. On the day your chauffeur Andrew and the car did everything that you required and believe that you enjoyed your journeys and got some lovely photos. We were grateful for the supply of the formula 1 advice and leaf blowers should we have needed them. Other alternative modern cars were offered to cover the 2 other cars, but you did not feel that these were suitable for your day and style of the wedding. Luckily you were able to find a more local company to supply 2 replacement classic cars. The refund for the 2 cars was dealt with swiftly, within a few hours, but unfortunately we cannot account for what other companies may charge. We acknowledge that the situation in the week leading up to the wedding was heated and very stressful for both parties, but we did totally explain all of our reasons to you at great length at the start of the week, but you were insistent that we should supply you the cars regardless of possible damage to the cars and possible huge costs that this would cause if we encountered a problem due to the extreme heat. We are truly sort for the extra stress in the lead up to the wedding day. It’s the last thing that we would ever want to do. We hope that you all had a lovely wedding day. Andrew & Louise
