Allan Scott Commercial

My partner and I chose Allan Scott Photography for our wedding day in March 2018 after seeing him at a wedding fayre. There is just no words to justify how professional, friendly and amazing allan is at his job! Prior to the wedding, Allan was extremely welcoming, invited us to his studio, responded to emails quickly, and was able to talk us through the wedding day in detail and what he would do for us step by step to capture our special day. He ensured that he knew what we wanted as couple to make sure we got the photos that we wanted to document our wedding as we wanted. He was a true professional throughout the day, extrememly organised and very disrcreet throughout the day. Family and friends commented about how lovely and friendly he was, and how 'not in your face' he was unlike some photographers. He was a part of the wedding. I especially liked that Allan was not afraid to take control of situations to get the shots that we wanted, think on his feet, and was able to work the crowd and change plans after discussion with us. One minor issue at our wedding was the weather, Allan had already discussed a plan with us prior to the wedding in the event of rain, and he was fully capable of producing some fantastic photo shoots indoors and out and knew the best times to do this. Since the wedding I personally have been a right pain with getting organised to order my wedding album, but Allan has been very understanding, patient, and has kept in touch with me via email. We have finally ordered our album and we cant wait to see it and show our family and friends.This guy knows what he is doing and I cannot reccomend Allan enough as a photographer! Allan immediately put us at ease in what is such an important part of the special day. After the initial meeting and discussions we knew he was the right photographer for us. On the day we did not have the weather we hoped for, but Allan utilising his expertise and experience got all the shots we wanted and we were extremely happy; even more so when we received the photos so soon after the wedding, so we could relive it all over again whilst on honeymoon. After spending quite a lot of time looking at different wedding photographers in York, I really loved Allan's style of relaxed wedding photography. Allan was brilliant on the day and made myself and my husband feel relaxed in front of the camera (especially important as weddings are a long day!). Absolutely fantastic photographer just perfect for our event. Allan did our wedding reception photographs and what he captured and the package he did was just brilliant. I searched for a photographer on google, within the Yorkshire area. If you're reading this review there's a very good reason why he is the top in the searches and has the most reviews on google and on Facebook. It's because he is a class act with a camera and can capture not only brilliant photos of family but he can take a picture of the most simplest thing and turn it into a treasure. Allan is an incredibly creative and friendly photographer. He is talkative and had many helpful ideas for our upcoming wedding. Many precious moments were captured because of his keen eye and attention to detail. Allan was also very accommodating with our specific requests and didn't attempt to tell us what we wanted. We first went to meet Allan after our venue, Sandburn Hall recommended him as he has done a lot of the photography for their brochure. So before we met him we knew he was good, but we didn’t know if we would get on with him.
After organising our first meeting we were warmly welcomed into Allan’s home and we instantly liked him. He’s funny, personable but also the ultimate professional. When we left after that first meeting we had absolutely no doubt that he would do the best job in photographing our wedding. As well as Allan’s undoubtable photography skills, we were also really pleased with the value for money package he could offer. Whilst other photographers made it very clear that a 6 hour package meant they would leave on the dot after 6 hours, Allan takes a flexible approach- he would stay to photograph the first dance and beginning of the evening do even if things had overrun slightly.
On the day, the weather was very changeable, yet we knew that Allan had everything in hand. He ensured we got all of the formal pictures we wanted yet found the time to discretely photograph all of the little touches. The more informal photos are fantastic - the guest reactions in the speeches are captured so well - we will find it hard to whittle down the pictures into an album!
Our photos were ready to view within two weeks of the wedding - we could never have expected such a quick turn around. This meant that when we got back from honeymoon and post wedding blues could have kicked in, we settled down to our wedding slideshow with a glass of bubbles! The quality of the photos is stunning.

Allan photographed our wedding day at Sandburn Hall in early February, and despite chaotic weather, he managed to get some truly outstanding photos (both indoors and out) - far beyond what we were expecting from such a dark and dreary day! He was professional, funny, and fit seamlessly into our day as if he were a guest that we had known all our lives! Allan was our photographer back in September at Carlton towers in Goole, a venue he had never shot at before and one not too close to his home town. After we originally enquired about using him, he set up a meeting at his home so we could go over the fine details and see the products he had to offer, along with previous work. After deciding to go with him, he was in contact multiple times to check everything was ok, and was always very quick to answer any questions we had. On the big day he was absolutely perfect, we could not have asked for more from a photographer. From the minute he turned up it was go go go!! very friendly and professional, taking into account what we wanted and being able to capture it perfectly. No complaints from him at all even though it was a very long day, acted just as any of the other wedding guests (who also noticed how friendly he was). I can't say anything more than absolutely fantastic! Allan was our wedding photographer and I am so glad we chose him. From the first day we met him he put us at ease and confident in what he would do for us. The photographs were amazing! Allan managed to capture so many special moments but also some fantastic photographs of the bridal party. We had 5 children in our bridal party and I don't know how he managed to get so many brilliant shots of them all! He was there from the time we were getting ready till the reception and first dance and I didn't even notice he was there half the time! He made us feel so relaxed all day and he made capturing 120 guests and 30 children look like a walk in the park! The service we received after the wedding was just as good as the day. Super Duper Photographer... Throughout the whole process Allan was professional and more importantly very friendly. Once we had met and discussed our wedding plans we knew he was the right guy for the job. He kept in touch at regular intervals and we could tell he cared about us and making our wedding day memorable. We really enjoyed our pre-wedding shoot, we would highly recommend him for non-wedding photography also. “Brilliant wedding photographer!!!! Allan put me at ease straight away , I was so nervous and felt the pressure on my big day, I don't really enjoy having my picture taken but he didn't put any pressure on me what so ever and he cured my deer in headlight look ! !!
