Claude is an amazing teacher. He really helped me to develop my piano play past year. Lessons are always entertaining. He is also really patient with students. Thanks for everything. Best

Claude has been an inspiration and I am very pleased with my progress as his student. He is very patient and is able to share his vast musical knowledge in a didactic and thoughtful way. He has been a fantastic tutor. He has a lovely cat (Poppy) which follows us in the lessons, making each session fun and pleasant. I highly recommend Claude. More...

I'm glad I found teacher like that. After only two months I've learned a lot and feel more confident and have better control over my voice. Amazing!

Q&As

Seeing a student 'get it' (seeing the 'light bulb').

I felt I could help most effective developing people's musicianship by working with them one-to-one.

I listen, I'm articulate and patient, and I'm happy to tailor the lesson curriculum to a student's goals and interests. I have an honours degree in Music Education and am a qualified teacher (have 'QTS') - and I know what I'm doing! :-) (as do many others)

Yes, via Zoom (or Teams, though Zoom is more suitable).

During lockdown, I only offer remote/online lessons. Clearly though, in-person lessons offer more activity options - including playing along with students - so can be more effective, and like probably all music students, my preference also is in-person lessons.
