Q&As

EVERYTHING especially the transformations my clients go through to live life more fully, joyfully and healthfully

I began 25 years ago, I always wanted to create wellness for people without constriction but expansion

There is always a choice, I believe if a person is energetically matched to work with me and they are ready to do the work, knowing there is no quick fix or magic pill, then we are a match to step into the journey together.

Remotely, via zoom, online, all sessions are online unless in agreed circumstances by both parties, we agree to meet in person at a designated location and venue.

As a Functional Medicine practitioner, I use this knowledge to support my clients.

Services

As a Life Coach, Alison works with clients to help them achieve their goals by providing guidance and support in various areas, including goal-setting for future plans and to support them in removing the "stuckness" they may be experiencing.

Emotional intelligence is about keeping the focus of coaching conversations: focusing (for example) on the person's performance at work and the limiting impact certain behaviours may have on his ability to get work done with and through other people. Self-awareness is about recognising and understanding your emotions – what you're feeling and why – as well as appreciating how they affect those around you, and building a greater understanding of others' reactions and emotions. Through my guidance with EQ (Emotional Intelligence) I help clients increase their capacity for self-awareness, focus, and empathy; balance complex emotions during times of stress; and maintain stronger and more effective relationships

My approach to Functional medicine is a personalised and integrative approach to healthcare which involves understanding the prevention, management and root causes of complex chronic disease, The ultimate goal is to heal disease and promote a healthy life.
A healthy life is not defined as simply an absence of disease, but rather a positive vitality filled with energy, joy, gratitude and balance.

Conventional medicine has its strengths, particularly in the areas of emergency medicine and surgery. However, it falls short in treating chronic illnesses, particularly complex chronic conditions such as Mold, gut issues, hormone imbalances and Thyroid.

Despite notable advances in treating and preventing infectious disease and trauma, the acute-care model that dominated 20th-century medicine has not been effective in treating and preventing chronic disease. Conventional medicine predominantly focuses on diagnosing a disease, followed by prescribing a drug to either cure the disease or manage the associated symptoms. This is brilliantly effective in acute situations, but for developing and chronic health problems or areas where there is no diagnosis, an evolution of this approach is very much needed and why I love the Functional Medicine approach for my clients.

Trauma-Informed Coaching is the practice of understanding the presence of trauma in a coach-client relationship and how to use it as a guide for resilience and solution-forward resolution. Many clients who come to work with me have experienced trauma throughout their life, many with ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) that lead to many other traumatic experiences in later life.

The depth of information and skill to ‘hold’ a space for profound coaching work is what gives Trauma Informed Coaching its nuance and strength. As a Trauma-Informed Coach, I have training in client regulation, brain-body connection, behavioural reaction, different types of traumas, leading causes, and subsequent symptoms. They have learned the proper channels for referral.

To become a Trauma Informed Coach, I have learned methods to help ‘regulate’ the nervous system, discard shame and guilt through powerful questions, and recognize and promote wellness as it starts to develop.

As a Trauma-informed coach, it is my duty to hold a safe space for you so that you leave each session regulated rather than activated and hypervigilant.
