Alexa captured our day perfectly. From start to finish she was fantastic, she was professional and quick to respond to my many questions. The day ran smoothly thanks to Alexa’s professionalism and great work ethic. You can see how incredibly passionate Alexa is about her work and always wanting to get the right shot, on a few occasions she laid on the floor and leant through windows to get the perfect shot. For us, getting the right photographer was one of the most important aspects of the wedding. The day goes by so quickly and the photos mean you can relive the day over and over and something we can share with our nearest and dearest. I thought it was a lovely touch for Alexa to share sneak peeks on social media and the preview was a lovely surprise and our photos are beautiful and we waited only a few weeks for all of them. One thing that drew me to Alexa was how she caught things in the moment and didn’t stage or pose anything other than a few of our couples portrait, but even then she asked us to just be natural with each other, have a kiss, look at each etc, she made us both feel very at ease. You wouldn’t know she was there most of time, she blended in well and I cannot sing her praises enough. Thank you a million times and for anyone looking for a photographer, Alexa Poppe is your girl. Alexa is amazing! We chose Alexa to photograph our wedding at Lusty Glaze Beach on 19.8.19 as we wanted a more relaxed approach to our wedding pictures and neither of us like posed pictures too much. Alexa captured our day perfectly and a lot of the time we didn’t even realise she was about. She captured things about the day we didn’t even knew happened until we received our pictures which was a lovely surprise. She is extremely hard working from start to finish to ensure she gets you the best results and we received our pictures back in a good time too. We booked Alexa for our elopement wedding in May. We changed our mind a couple of times when it came to photos, as no-one was going to be there we wanted to make sure we got it right so we could share them with everyone making them feel part of the day. We found Alexa online and after looking through reviews and her photos I knew she’d be the perfect choice. We loved the style and artistic shots, on the day we had wind and rain and small glimpses of sunshine and Alexa managed to somehow get some great shots. We’re not from the area but Alexa took us to a beach nearby to get some photos are the ceremony and I’m glad we did, she turned a gloomy looking day into really cool and unique photos that we love. I have to say I was dreading having my pictures taken during the wedding as I hate posing and it makes me feel very uncomfortable, not to mention that I can only hold a smile for half a second and then I am very critical of every picture with me in it.
However, I really liked Alexa's style and was hoping she could work wonders with me too, and she did!
She made us both feel really relaxed and was very professional at the same time so I actually enjoyed the experience. Alexa has a really good eye so she directed us on how to stand, what not to do etc. She can definitely spot an opportunity for a good light, even if it means she'll be sitting in the damp grass for a while :)

We searched the seemingly quite crowded wedding photographer market carefully before making the decision to engage with Alexa. We were looking for relaxed and largely unposed photographs that would capture the spirit of our day. Alexa didn't just do this; she has provided us with a set of photographs that were beyond even our wildest expectations. Neither of us are particular fans of having our pictures taken, and I always felt that I photographed badly. The collection she returned to us have blown our preconceptions out of the water- we adore the photos, and even how we look in them! They truly did capture the essence of our magical day, and the joy that we and our loved ones felt. Very relaxed and friendly, which put us immediately at ease when having our photos taken.
Her style is very natural and unintrusive but Alexa would also give direction when needed. The resulting shots captured some lovely moments between family and friends.

We first spotted Alexa when having dinner at Lusty Glaze. She was photographing a wedding there and I loved how discreet she was at capturing those intimate and natural images. Little did I know that my now husband was about to propose to me that night! I started following Alexa on social media and I always knew that I wanted her to photograph our wedding. Alexa has always been great at communicating quickly and answering my many questions. We also had an engagement shoot with Alexa. We have a very boisterous German Shepherd puppy who we wanted in our engagement and wedding photos. Alexa was so patient with him and we are forever grateful for the family photos we now have! Alexa knows how to get the perfect shot and really helped to guide us on the do’s and don’ts of posing for photographs. It was an honour to see this super talented lady at work on our Wedding day. Alexa was professional and hard working ensuring every moment was captured beautifully. I was inspired to book Alexa after she photographed my friends wedding a few years ago. She has the ability to shoot natural moments so photos don't look forced and awkward. She was so relaxed and you didn't even know she was there most of the time. Alexa sent the photos over on a beautiful USB. She put a copy of web and printable photos in colour and black & white. Alexa captured our day perfectly. She was professional throughout with a relaxed style that suited us both, as neither are ones for having our photo taken. If anyone told me that we would get married in the snow I wouldn’t have believed it. Luckily for us Alexa was not put off by the Beast from the East. She was more than happy to take photos in the snow using the weather to create some lovely snowy scenes. With the formal shots out of the way she captured the day perfectly in a relaxed fun style. We were looking for a wedding photographer that would capture the fun, laughter and love of our wedding. We come across Alexa Poppe and we felt her photos did just that, plus she was local to Newquay where we got married. All her photos showed off each weddings magical moments and we felt we wanted this as well, communication was great as well. The big day Alexa was amazing and was there at every moment but not in the way. When we decided to get married in Cornwall, we searched for photographers in the area and luckily found Alexa! We loved her relaxed, natural and creative style instantly – and felt that she would capture our Cornish wedding perfectly. Alexa was absolutely fantastic! We honestly can't recommend her enough! Personally for us, getting the right photographer was one of the most important aspects when planning as the wedding goes by in such a flash and your photos are your lasting memory of your day- you'll have them forever! We were not disappointed! Our photos were exactly what we wanted with a gorgeous balance between natural shots and group shots. The group shots were executed perfectly too! I have memories from weddings in the past of the group shots taking a long time and faffing around getting people in specific places. Alexa was not like this at all, it all ran so smoothly and swiftly leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day and as a result our whole schedule ran to time too and the result of the photos- perfect! It is clear that Alexa loves her job and takes great pride in her work, which didn't stop after our wedding day. We absolutely loved her blog on our wedding a few days later and seeing some gorgeous preview photos- made us feel very special, thank you!
