Whether you require a Buffet, 5 Course Dinner, 10 Course Tasting Menu, Canapé Reception, Corporate Dining, Hog Roast, BBQ or a Luxury Wedding we can offer you a wide choice and aim to create a truly memorable experience for you and your guests.

We encourage you to discuss your ideas with Alec if you are unsure of what style of catering is best for your event. We can prepare bespoke menus for you to choose from based on your theme and budget.

We are driven by our passion for great food. Our cuisine is made from fresh, locally sourced produce within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We use fresh seasonal ingredients using modern and classical techniques to create dishes which are served with both passion and style. Our food is wholesome, refined and, above all, appetizing and flavoursome. With influences taken from around the globe and our experience of working within quality establishments up to 3 Michelin Star level we aim to deliver the very best in quality with competitive pricing and outstanding service

Alec Maxfield was born and raised in Nottinghamshire.

He started his career in a local country hotel where he discovered and fell in love with all things food. Upon turning 17 he moved to the South of England to work for a fantastic chef cooking food at a very high level. This is where he really started to find his feet and was becoming the chef he wanted to be. He relished the opportunity of using local Game Keepers who would arrive with freshly shot pheasants, rabbits and venison as well as cooking with freshly-caught, fresh-water crayfish.

Alec then moved on and turned his skills to the world of Michelin. He has been very fortunate to have worked in many Michelin Star kitchens all the way to 3 Star level.

The highlights of his career so far are becoming a finalist in “MasterChef The Professionals 2012”, and the launching of his own catering business, Alec Maxfield Catering Services.

His style of food now is what he would call modern British. He loves to work with fresh and amazing ingredients, combining them and plating up dishes that exceed expectations.

Having just returned from travelling Europe as a Private Chef for a high-net-worth individual he has been able to draw on his experiences and put all that excitement on the plate for you to enjoy

We deliver a service to the highest standard and treat each and every plate with the same dedication and attention to detail. We cater for various outside events from small functions to large weddings of around 150 people offering a high quality service with a personal touch.

Services include: Private Dinner Parties, Buffets, Tasting Menus, Corporate Dining, Weddings, Canapé Receptions, Hog Roasts and BBQ's (rain or shine!).
