After looking around for lessons I came across this site. I had been with another teacher that was not the right fit for me. I count myself very lucky to have found a teacher that is patient, very professional and friendly, thinks about what the student wants, no ego involved here. Lessons are so much fun, I enjoy the learning process and can't wait for the next lesson. I come away wanting to work really hard towards my goal, everything that I have expected from the lessons I have found, it's important to have a teacher that you trust and Inspires you. Things are explained in a clear and precise way, communication between teacher and student is excellent, I don't feel afraid to ask questions, because of that my confidence is growing. Being able to explain something that is a little confusing in a simple way is a delight to see and be part of. I am enjoying the learning process and growth on the guitar. I only have one regret, I wish I had found Al earlier, the knowledge and skill set I would have now, you live and learn. So I recommend this teacher very highly If you're willing to put the work in you will see your playing change for the better. The guitar is fun.

Al is a fantastic tutor - really enjoying my lessons with him

Very patient and precise teaching! I thoroughly learn how to play certain tracks in the order of speed, until I am confident and fully prepared to work through the full track.

Al is an amazing guitar teacher as he is really knowledgable, tailors the lessons to suit my level and is just really friendly and easy to get along with! From the very start and as I started lessons 6 months ago as a complete beginner, Al has given a lot of thought in terms of how best to teach me and how to help me progress. The lessons are always great fun and challenging so that I can keep improving. I really enjoy and look forward to the lessons as I get so much out of them. Al gives me tasks and writes me notes at the end of each lesson so I have a structure as to how I can practice at home. Al is also really responsive and flexible with his hours which has been really useful for me.

Al is a friendly and passionate teacher who really takes into account what you want to achieve and your personal taste in music. Al is a very laid back and experienced guitar teacher. He gives some structure to the classes, but at the same time lets you choose the songs you want to play and directs the lessons towards your goals. Al is not only an accomplished guitar player, but he is also a natural when it comes to teaching. After years of learning from DVDs and YouTube, and trying a variety of different teachers, I’m very pleased to have found an enthusiastic and cheerful teacher who can provide a structured approach with clear, attainable goals. Al was recommended to us by a friend and has taught my daughter guitar for the past 5 years. Al is always prompt and totally reliable.
