Tree Felling
Trees need to be removed for a number of reasons and in many different settings. Everything from front gardens to large commercial sites. In some scenarios, the tree would need to be taken down by our fully trained tree surgeons in several sections using specialist rigging methods and equipment.
In addition we often use MEWPS to complete work at height where heavier chainsaws and larger tree sections need to be removed safely.
Pruning and Pollarding
At AJB Tree Care we have extensive knowledge and experience of pollarding and pruning trees of all sizes and species.
Trees need to be pruned correctly to ensure they are balanced and in proportion whilst enhancing their natural shape.
Stump Grinding
After a tree has been removed you are left with the stump and in most cases the stump cannot be dug out due to its size. To get the best result, we recommend the use of a stump grinder as this is the quickest and easiest way to remove the stump.
Once stump grinding has been completed, there is only a patch of soil left where the tree once stood. You wouldn’t know a tree had been there at all!
Cut and Clearance
Some works involve a full cut and clearance of a site. Our team remove trees, hedges, weeds and much more to meet your needs, whether it be to clear a site for building works, or simply needs to be tidied up.
We can remove all waste or stack logs and chip the waste to leave on site as you wish.
Emergency Work
Not all tree work can be planned in advance, the weather, particularly wind, can mean you need us straight away! Wind can do everything from snap a branch off, to knocking trees over completely.
We offer a 24 hour emergency call out service to our customers. If you see anything of concern that requires immediate attention, please contact us.
Hedge Work
Hedges require frequent trimming to keep them in good condition. We offer hedge cutting for maintenance, along with larger hedge work, for example hedge reductions.
Different species require different techniques and our team are fully trained on which approach suits each type of hedge.
Tree Surveys
We have an in house tree surveyor who is fully insured with a wealth of experience. Our tree surveyor is part of The Consulting Arborist Society and QTRA registered.
Tree surveys are highly recommended for insurance purposes at home and in particular in schools. They are cost effective and assist with budgeting as they cover the next 3 years of the tree’s life. Please get in touch for a free quote if you wish to have a survey completed.
Log Splitting Service/Firewood Stock
We have our own log splitters which can be taken to and from works where customers would like the waste split into logs for personal use. Please let us know if you’d like this service included in your free quotation when enquiring with us.
We also have a stock of seasoned hardwood firewood for sale, a product of our recycled waste and all processed directly by us.
