I can highly recommend Adored Animals Hospitality. He is very reliable and trustworthy as well as being flexible. I am so pleased that we found him when we moved to Colchester. Our pampered pooch adores him and we know she is well looked after when she stays with him if we are away. She has regular walks and he has been extremely reliable. Adored Animals Hospitality is an outstanding dog walking and hosting service who we use on a regular basis. Every time we hand our two dogs over, we know without a shadow of a doubt they will be loved and looked after. We have one dog with medical needs and her care and medication is never and issue. Our other dog is a strong boisterous handful, but because the hosts at Adored Animals Hospitality are so experienced and professional, they take this in their stride and she gets all the exercise, love and attention she needs to ensure she enjoys her stay too. Have just arrived home after our holiday and am very impressed with the way Steve from Animals at Home looked after our rather rotund and ageing cat Jim. We really enjoyed reading the daily notes left about Jim's whereabouts, sun-bathing and bird-catching (thank-you to Steve also for clearing up the latter!)An added bonus was knowing that the house was kept an eye on too; the post picked up; and even better- the fresh milk in the fridge for our return- a very nice surprise.Am so glad that we have booked again for our holiday later in the Summer which we will enjoy even more now, knowing that Jim is in safe and caring hands.Brightlingsea More...

My other half is in the army and so is away a lot. As I work full time, our whippet Colin goes to Steve for 10hours of the day and thoroughly enjoys himself! He is always so excited to see Steve and comes home thoroughly worn out after fun days away at day care, which takes a lot of pressure off after a long day working! Steve is also extremely accommodating and has helped us out at short notice many times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve and the service to anyone. More...

I have used Animals at Home twice so far. I am extremely happy with how it is going and I plan to use this service whenever I go away in future. I moved house last year and moved away from my neighbour who fed my cat. I didn't know any of my new neighbours and was a bit hesitant about asking them. I felt safe having animals at home to feed my cat as they are CRB checked and have references. It is great that I don't have to worry about my cat or the house because I know that someone is going in everyday. They also leave a pint of milk in the fridge when you get back. Excellent! My friend is seriously thinking of getting a goldfish so she can get them to feed it and check her house twice a week when she is away for 3 months. More...

Our young dog Monty has been staying with Animals At Home since he was only 8 weeks old. it is a real home from home for him and his tail always wags on arrival! !I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to have a break away without any worry about their pet's happiness and welfare. We used Animals at Home (Steve Mayne) to look after our two English Springer girls in March when we went to the sun for ten days and had no reason to worry about them. They had lots of exercise, cuddles and treats and had a thoroughly good time. We have no hesitation in recommending Steve and Animals at Home to look after your pets for a night or a fortnight and we will certainly be using them the next time we are unable to take the dogs with us. I'm Marnie the labradoodle and I LOVE Animals at Home - or rather, I love Steve, as he's such a great guy to be with. Steve has been walking me since I was little (last year), and his skills and experienced handling has improved my behaviour (so Mum says. I think it's always been perfect). Steve has the patience of a saint and is incredibly kind. I jump all over him when he comes in and he's just as pleased to see me. He's always on time and gives me great walks at a very reasonable rate.Sometimes, my parents heartlessly desert me, but I stay with Steve instead. I have an amazing time with his family - loads of walks and games. Every dog wants to stay with Steve, so you have to book early but please don't take my place. Steve has had some veterinary training too, so I feel really safe - and guess what? He's always got treats in his pocket! More...

We left our 16 month rescue collie with Steve. Skip seemed to be at home straight away and when we picked him up he was happy to see us but still enjoying his stay. Animals at Home continued to provide a safe and harmonious environment for our cats when we went away on holiday. They were reliable and trustworthy, even leaving a surprise pint of milk for a cup of tea which was divine after a long plane journey. We returned home to two very happy and contented felines.
