I am a self-employed consultant and I needed someone to help me with self-assessment which was not very straightforward due to different types of income. Streamline was fast and efficient in turning things around and working out the tax bill. They also provided me with a model that allowed me to work out tax deductible cost for the use of home and travel which was very helpful. I am very happy with the service provided and will use them again in the future. More...

Streamline helped me to prepare a business plan and prepare for the interview as I am looking for financing. I honestly would have been lost without them, they had so many great insights. Not only that, they gave some tips on how I can cut my costs. Very happy. More...

We are a small recruitment business and were looking for an accountant to take over our bookkeeping and prepare annual accounts etc. Streamline were very professional and suggested a filing system on google drive that they can maintain remotely. Me or my staff will upload documents to Google drive and they carry out the bookkeeping entries and file the documents where they need to be. It is so easy now, my paperwork is always up to date and i can see my financial position on Xero straight away. I am so pleased with the service as it really is quick and easy and they are always willing to help if I have any questions. More...

Q&As

When you start choosing an accountant it can often be confusing. The most common accountancy qualifications are Chartered accountants (ACAs), Chartered Certified accountants (ACCAs), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualified management accountants and AATs who are accounts technicians or bookkeepers. Then there are tax, payroll and other specialist qualifications. And then there are people who call themselves accountants or bookkeepers but actually hold no qualifications or memberships.

So how do you choose when there are so many different kinds and what do they all mean?
Choosing an accountant can be confusing but it is quite important that you get it right. Your financial affairs are a cornerstone of your business. You are a great specialist in your area and an amazing salesman. But someone needs to keep the back-office engine running so that you can go out and do what you do best. Financial affairs are not to be sniffed at. If something goes wrong it is usually the firm of accountants who is the first port of call for the advice on how to put things right. So why wait? You can get advisors that provide you with the support you need as you go along. The amazing softwares out there have made it so much easier and cheaper.

In other words, you are in good hands if you choose a member of ICAEW. ACA stands for Association of Chartered Accountants and FCA stands for Fellow Chartered Accountant which is only given to members with over 10 years of relevant working experience and up to date technical training.
We have been awarded FCA by ICAEW.
