At Account Direct we aim to create a relationship with our clients so that we are able to offer the best service.
This relationship means that we often get to know our clients on a more personal level and this makes our job extremely satisfying.
We love meeting people and being able to offer help and support finding solutions among a mine field of possible problems.
Many of our clients feel that we are approachable and friendly, this makes our job very rewarding.
The thing we love most about our job is the personal relationships we often have with our clients. This normally ends up with our clients being able to contact us out of hours, weekends and even while we are on holiday. Being able to offer this level of personal service really does make our job extremely satisfying.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Account Direct was the starting point for Ann-Marie in her accounting profession in 2007.
Ann-Marie had however always dreamed of working for a top accounting firm in London.
After working at Account Direct for a few years she was head hunted by a top 20 accountancy firm near London and was offered the position she always thought she wanted.
After just a few months Ann-Marie realised that she missed the personal relationships created with her clients and that this was not feasible in such a large company where clients were just a number and communication with clients was restricted to e-mails and phone contact was discouraged.
Account Direct by this time had realised the value of the personal touch that Ann-Marie offered and at the request of many clients and one of the directors she was asked to return. Shortly after this, Ann-Marie's husband Mark also joined Account Direct.
In October 2018 the two directors were both ready to retire and offered to sell the company to Ann-Marie and Mark, they have since had their daughter Risa join the company and now offer the services and personal touch only found in a family run business.
