Personal Trainers

Had never really done HIIT, Circuit, or Tabata style workouts in the past, opting for strength based workouts at the gym. Current circumstances had prevented training in my usual format, and I was surprised how great was training in this way . I recently took up Andy's free 10 day challenge. He devised an exercise programme to suit me, he was very supportive and I found him very knowledgeable. Because I had a goal it gave me a real sense of purpose and it helped me break the bad habits acquired in lockdown! I lost 5lb and am up to 7-8000 steps a day. I try to take a holistic approach with my clients and look at 5 key aspects of life:

2) Nutrition
3) Mindset
4) Lifestyle
5) Habits

Mindset is so important and is often the difference between success and failure.

Nothing profound. It will be a combination of:

- Hard work
- Consistency
- Asking for help from the right people
- Mindset & Attitude towards making a huge difference to your body and life
- More specifically getting your training and nutrition right

For me the best moments are the light bulb moments, or the moments of pure happiness that my clients get when they finally see what they've achieved in the mirror and on the scales. Or when they can finally lift a weight they never thought would be possible. Even what seems like little things, such as being able to do a body weight squat with good form after weeks of practice.

All clients will come to me with a very specific problem they want me to help them solve. I love figuring out what the issue is, what the end picture will look like and then reverse engineering the process and putting the steps in place that will get them there.

I've worked for different gyms in the past who have all been good to me. However, I often had to work with limitations. The main reason I left to set up on my own was the freedom I could have with my systems, on-boarding process, when I could see clients, how many clients I could see per day. I knew I could offer a better, more rounded service If I was working for myself.

I don't look at PT as a training session every week where you come in and I get you out of breathe for an hour. It is much more than that to me.

As a PT it is my job to get you the results you want and I do that through applying my knowledge and experience to you through education, coaching and an unrivalled level of support.

I am very proud of the systems I have in place to help my clients achieve their goals which includes a members area with an induction/on-boarding process, educational videos and a load of helpful downloadable resources. You'll also have an app with your program, demo videos, nutritional info, your measurements and a messaging feature.

Yes, I provide a hugely popular online program that I have developed over the last couple of years. It is a results focussed program with a huge amount of support from myself.

All my in person personal training sessions are based at the Village Gym, who have done an amazing job of providing everything we need to stay safe. Plastic shields between machines, lots of blue roll and anti bacterial spray bottles can be found all over the gym. The gym staff are also excellent at cleaning down the equipment on a regular basis.
