We decided to get our old, warped 'open out' timber garage doors replaced with an electric roller door. Michael came out to measure up within a couple of days of contacting the company. He explained how the timber garage would accept the new roller door and how it would form a perfect seal at the bottom (something our timber doors couldn't manage - turning it into a mouse hotel in the winter!). We opted for one large door spanning the original two openings. We were sent a choice of colour samples to make our decision. The quote was extremely reasonable, considering we had had a quote 2-3 years previoulsy which was in the same price region, and the previously quoted doors would not have had the added bonus of being electric. The price was fixed and nothing extra was added onto the original quoted price. From order to install it was 6 weeks, and that timescale had already been given when Michael came to measure up. I had this chap on recommendation 18 months ago and found him pleasant and reliable and a reasonable price. I had him again yesterday to repair handle of garage door to find he has now added a £75 call out charge which for a £35 handle is exhorbitant! ! He now advertises in Loose magazine and I feel he should be honest and show his call out charge. Also said he does not take cheques so why on his invoice does it say cheque or card welcome?? Fantastic service called this morning, left a message. Received a call back which was a good starting point !. They arrange for an engineer to come out to look at the problem. Gave me a clear indication as to what the cost would be. The engineer arrived just before the allotted time, looked at the problem understood exactly what was required - carried out the repair - maintenance to the door. We'd used this company before for repairs on our old heavy Garador doors and were very happy with the service we received. So when we decided to replace them we asked Absolute to quote. We had a swift reply and appointment made to do a survey. Michael explained our options and measured up. We had a detailed quote by that evening, which we accepted. On the installation day Michael and Jason arrived promptly and set to work quickly, removing the old doors and surrounds. The new doors went in, everything done with care and working methodically. They removed all the rubbish, swept up one last time and demonstrated our lovely new roller doors, including the safety sensor and manual release in case of power cut. I found absolute garage doors in a local magazine that came through the door. After being let down or massively over priced by other companies I thought I would give them a go. Gabriella got back to me very quickly with an online brochure of prices and Michael came round to measure up a couple of days later to confirm the price. I did want to get my garage roof done before the door was fitted so asked if I could put it on hold for a couple of weeks, well weeks turned to months and I was constantly let done by roofer after roofer but Gabriella said it was no problem and that they would store my garage door until I was ready. When I was ready I just emailed Gabriella and straight away they booked in a date and Michael and his father came round and done an amazing job, we really couldn't be happier with it.
