About

As an experienced and Accredited Personal Centred Counsellor with over 16 years’ counselling. I feel extremely privileged to have helped so many people from all walks of life overcome their personal and/or professional problems. Through our sessions together I have witnessed the positive change in someone before and after their counselling.

In my 25 years’ of working in various sectors including the public and care sectors, managing and supervising teams of 15+ people, I understand the emotional and psychological impact of many different mental health issues in and out of the workplace. My years in counselling have seen me supporting staff in the workplace, clients and their families at Dementia Nursing Home to past clients of Alcoholic Support. Having served on the front line supporting key worker, I particularly know the demands and pressure of the caring profession, including the current COVID 19 pandemic. Furthermore, I still am a long-standing volunteer at one of Aberdeen’s counselling centres.

I have helped people overcome mental health issues such as:

Addictions, compulsions, and obsessions: substance abuse, social media
Confidence and self-esteem : panic attacks
Financial worries: money management, credit card debt, financial debt
Loss and bereavement
Abuse : All forms of abuse
Relationship issues: family, professional, loneliness and isolation
Stress management: anxiety, depression, pressure, work-related stress, stress from your studies
Trauma: phobias
