This company have just done a big move for us and from start to finish these lads impressed. Having used other companies in the past the thought of another moved curled my toes but everything went perfectly and it was down to these guys. Cannot praise them enough and would not have an issue recommending them to anyone.Thank you Neil to you and your team you made moving less stressful. More...

Neil the owner came around and gave us a quote for pack, remove and unpack. he was very affable and seemed very eager to do the job for us. However i wouldn't commit at the time because we had invited another firm to quote also. The second firm was considerably lower by approx £300 but we negotiated with Neil and settled on a price £200 lower than the original quote as i quite liked the bloke. He promised that we would be looked after and it would be stress free. We agreed on a days packing and then removal the following day. I was told if it wasn't stress free and was unhappy he would return a sum of money to me. I was very optimistic about it all as we had moved several times prior to this and always packed ourselves and found it very stressful indeed. Well the packing day arrived with his lovely wife who packed our kitchen and did a great job. Thanks! Neil also came along and two other lads. Aidey in particular just seemed to plow on and on with a smile and a cheerful demeanour and he never stopped being this way throughout the whole two days. There was another like him on the second day and his name was richard. The other lads were pleasant however. My issues that i have with A1 Budget Moves boil down to one individual, Neil, The owner. From themoment he stepped into my front door to us closing the door behind him at our new property bith myself on day one and two and my wife on day two had a constant barrage of whining, moaning and complaining and the constant whine of a child who though the should have more than the agreed quote. Never an hour went buy that wasnt littered about the volume of items, the weight in the van, the amount of boxes and a never ending, "we aren't making any money on this job, "the original quote was the right price" "other firms would just walk off" moaning about where he was going to put his vans, telling us to get rid of stuff, offering our boxes to passer bys.. no the odd playful comment would have been taken that way. NO, it was incessant. I really wanted to yell at him when my wife rang from our previous home to say he was on and on about money and that she was feeling uncomfortable and stressed. NOw, we paid for packing, they left half way through the day with some of the packed items leaving me the impression they were going to return to finish as agreed. NO, my wife and i packed a load of stuff that night and my wife packed the following day with the lads. He came down to the original quote from the other firm and i offered a little more and it was thrown in my face by this moaning person. he didn't have much heavy furniture, as we left a lot, they didn't unpack, apart from some of the kitchen items, because it got so late and frankly we wanted shut of him. He offered to come back the following day for an hour. we declined as we had left a lot of furniture anyhow, which was our choice alone, so it seemed pointless at that point. I was also assured of the padded quilted packing for some items, however the only thing done this way was the sofa and the tv. The T.V had toys inside the padding which made the whole thing useless. My turntable had been packed on its side with the stylus all over the place and the needle hanging from its wires. Neil aside the lads worked hard. It's a shame that Aidey doesn't run his own business because with his attitude i'd definitely use him again. A1? no thankyou and that is only down to the owner and his crude refrences about the money and constant moaning about our home and its contents. Here is a tip, don't beg for a job, lower your estimate and then constantly whine about it. Also when you quote, make sure you fully understand what you are taking on and be much more professional. You didn't live up to your promise to make it stress free. You made us more stressed than any other move because of your personal attitude and we paid what to us was a very large sum to avoid such a thing. The ultimate insult is the damn photo at the end.
