As everyone knows, your wedding day moves pretty fast, and if you don't stop and look around you could miss it. That's why it was important to us to get a photographer who could capture all those natural moments that we just might miss. Al was the perfect fit for us. His preparation, execution and delivery of outstanding photos was exactly what we needed. We had a schedule of photos that we wanted to get from bride and groom prep, ceremony, reception, group shots and couple photos. These were all achieved without fuss and resulted in great photos. During the ceremony and reception he was able to capture the key moments while not impeding on events, which from some of the photographers I have seen at other weddings appears to be a rare gift.
The price was great and the photos at the end of it all are something we will treasure forever.

Al set up a photo booth style area for my mums 50th birthday party, it was brilliant! The photos are amazing! You could even view them on his iPad as soon as he took them. He really is fantastic at what he does - he engages with everyone brilliantly, getting some of the most reserved people to let go and have a bit of fun in front of the camera. Al was really helpful and flexible when he came to take some family photos. Arriving with everything to turn or dining room into a photo studio he took some great photos, both formal and some amazing informal shots too. Al had loads of patience when dealing with a 2 week old baby and was really understanding when the star of the shoot needed an impromptu wardrobe change. Al made the photos available remarkably quickly and was very accommodating when we asked for different effects and filters to be applied. We ordered a large format print to hang in our house and Al’s help in selecting the right mount and frame was invaluable; the finished print arrived impressively quickly as well. More...

My wife and I commissioned Al to take some family portraits having seen his previous work online. Having a lack of artistic skills ourselves(! ), we threw myself at Al's mercy - he talked us through various options, making loads of great recommendations without pushing us down one route or another. After we decided on a garden photo shoot, he expertly worked with the family to get us set-up in the right place; no easy task with young children to manage. His professionalism, friendliness and good humour shone through (and his patience as we cajoled our kids into place!). After the shoot, he sent us an initial draft of the final portfolio and sought our input on which images we liked and any tweaks we might want... although everything was spot-on already. There was no hard sales pitch (as with some other photographers) for prints we really didn't want. The excellent results speak for themselves with a massive canvas print on order and copies being hung up in grandparents' houses already! Thanks! More...
