I was lacking in motivation. COVID made me think i had to lose weight and tone up. Make an effort to get my fitness back to a level its not been in decades.

I lacked the motivation. I hired Andrew in January 2022 and he has helped me on my journey to get back into shape.
I already did infrequent Yoga classes but his regular Zoom sessions made me focus on my whole body and dreaded cardio.

My positive motivation has grown as i see good results in the mirror and how i feel much better about myself.

He asked me to write a review. I want to thank Andrew ! and recommend him as he has been stabilising influence & helped improve my daily activities.

I train with Andrew online, and he is always friendly and attentive. He takes me through my paces. I'm in my 70s and used to get puffed out just climbing the stairs. My doctor told me to do more physical activity. I live near a busy town centre and exercising in my local park or gym just did not appeal. I find gyms rather intimidating. I use my laptop to do online workouts on zoom so much easier and convenient. Nearly 2 years later, very good results. Thanks to Andrew's exercise guidance. I find things like climbing the stairs so much easier. My energy levels seem better than when I was 50!! I enjoy my social time a lot more as I'm always out and about. Andrew's Personal Training has helped me so much getting my health back on track, where to start? Seeing Andrew regularly has helped me tremendously. Crucially it got me into an exercise routine habit. Andrew is patient with me, as at 51 I was rather stuck in my ways and he developed a program that took account of pre-existing injuries. I started with 2 sessions per week then progressed to 3, a few months later. Andrew advised me on nutrition which although I had known about, I hadn't taken too seriously. I've improved my food choices, and combined with his structured regular exercise program, I have more energy and feel lighter on my feet. My weight and waist size have reduced. The regular workouts have largely reduced my chiropractor trips for a shoulder problem. And a painful knee problem has disappeared, and I no longer need painkillers. I highly rate Andrew as a Personal Trainer and am happy to recommend him to anyone who needs to get fitter and healthier. More...

I start by investing in a complimentary 1-hour health and fitness consultation to understand your current level of health & fitness. I then take time to understand your goals; weight loss, tone and cardio fitness, increase muscle mass, beach body fitness, special event such as your wedding day. I will then begin the process of designing a bespoke training programme, that will set some “S.M.A.R.T.” goals. SMART simply means; S - Specific, M - Measurable, A - Achievable, R - Realistic, T – Time framed.

A large part is in the mind! YOU have to WANT to take positive ACTIONS, be that exercise or better diet. If you have that DESIRE and start DOING regular exercise and making better food choices. Put 100% effort into each and every workout session. Step by step, then you WILL start to see positive changes.

Seeing the transformation as clients achieve their fitness & health goals. This often goes well beyond fitness and positively affects other areas of their lives.

My lifetime passion for keeping fit, losing and maintaining weight, led me naturally to retrain for this career, gaining a Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training at YMCAfit in Brighton. I love sharing the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle. There is no greater reward than seeing each of my clients moving forward and achieving their individual goals.

At 52, I'm an older personal trainer with old-fashioned communication skills. I am straight to the point & friendly. I am adaptable to a range of coaching styles. Some clients prefer me to go gentle on them, whilst others prefer a more direct approach. To get the most out your workout routines let me know YOUR preferred approach. On a lighter note, I have a whole lifetime of other work & life experiences including medical, engineering, science, music and financial to call upon to add to my PT knowledge.

The majority of my clients train with me online, as this is the safest way to work. With non-online clients, ALL kit is sanitised before and after use. I observe social distancing and will wear a face mask outdoors if requested.

If you’re looking for a motivational boost or perhaps some help with technique and exercise ideas, then this option is designed for you. Bespoke meal plans from a wide range of diets including; Balanced, Mediterranean, Pescatarian, Vegan, Vegetarian and Keto. Many of us make the decision to start exercising and better managing our diet because we’re not happy, either with the way we look or the way we feel.
