What do you love most about your job?
What I love is the spontaneity and unpredictable nature of weddings photography. No two are ever the same even if they are at the same venue.
When you arrive at an event very little is under your control - how people react, the 'atmosphere', the lighting - it's all up for grabs. And the challenge is to capture not only a collection of great photographs but also photographs that faithfully reflect what has unfolded around you and that tell the story of the day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been passionate about photography for many years whilst running a database consultancy. I had started doing an increasing amount of paid photography work on a part time basis and then one day it suddenly hit me - whilst I was very good at creating databases, I was far far better at taking photographs!
After that light bulb moment, the rest as they say is history.

Very simply, because I am very good at what I do!
My style and approach is perfect for documentary style wedding photography. It is a very specific skill that requires an exceptional eye and a thorough understanding of how to capture live and unpredictable situations as they unfold in front of you. It's the ability to simultaneously be there and not be there. To be that 'fly on the wall'.
