Jo is a wonderful photographer to work with. She has great personal warmth and empathy and a skillful eye for bringing out the best of people and the things they do. I'm not at all used to having my picture taken, but Jo managed to put me at my ease and worked with me to get some great shots that I feel confident about using for publicity for courses that I run. Her location skills are great too - she worked unobtrusively but imaginatively at a Raku workshop at Clay Studio resulting in some fantastic images that we will be using on the website and in social media for a long time to come! Working with Jo was fab. I felt very relaxed and at ease almost as though I wasn't being photographed at all. Jo also gave me plenty of time to change clothing and accessories for a variety of looks. Highly recommended.

I spent a lovely morning with Jo after winning a raffle prize from Lisa Newport's Swish event. I was quite nervous about having professional portraits done, but Jo was fantastic. She met with me first to go through the process and to work out what I was after. The actual session was just great fun, Jo is well able to put you at your ease and make the whole process fun. She uses light and angles wonderfully and really enjoys taking your picture.

I absolutely loved working with Jo and had such a blast! I was nervous to start but she’s so open and friendly that it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I got all the photos I wanted and more, full of fun and laughter, yet professional at the same time. She gave great directions to help me and really relaxed the whole photoshoot with her kind personality (the cup of tea also helped!).

I took my three children to Jo (5, 4 and 1 years). She made us feel very welcome and relaxed. My eldest loved the experience and didn't want to leave, and even my fidgety 1 year old cooperated when Jo worked with him, she had lots of fab tricks to get the children to look natural and relaxed. I'm so pleased with my pictures!

Jo makes you feel at ease and has a very modern and artistic approach to her photography. She uses light and colour in such a flattering way that you're happy to share your photographs! I absolutely LOVED working with Jo. Not only is her work amazing, she herself is an amazing person to work with. Finding the right photographer you can rely on to capture the essence and beauty of a musical instrument can be a stressful task for any musician--especially for non-western instruments. But after just a few moments with Jo, I knew I was in good hands!

She works masterfully with angles and lighting to capture moments in the most creative and elegant ways possible. I loved the way she interacted with me and helped me to feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire shoot.

I cant speak highly enough of Jo. She is a thoughtful and attentive photographer. She works to help you relax and really gets to know you. Initially we did a studio shoot and although she did her best I couldn't relax so she said " You're not an indoor person, why are we taking pictures inside" She suggested the castle as a first venue and we got some beautiful autumn shots with brilliant blue sky and all the autumn leaves. I then booked her for a summer shoot as well and the photos she has taken me outside with the herbs tell my clients what they need to know about me in a really intelligent way. I love the pictures which is unusual, i usually hate photographs of myself. I she caught me at my best angle in great light. My new website is going to look splendid. More...

Strolling through Sherwood I stumbled across this lovely gallery selling some unusual and delightful giftware, cards and photographs. Chatting to Andy the owner I discovered his wife Jo is a professional photographer who will undertake commissions. Anyway to cut the story short, Jo visited my home and took some wonderful photographs of my cat, one of which I asked her to enlarge and frame. A little gem of a gift shop with unusual and individual items that appeal to both sexes. Has a separate cafe at the back where you can take your time and think about making a purchase.
This shop used to be Brittons Grocery store and the cafe is what was the storage area.
