Personal Trainers

I started working with Eddie in September 2020 after moving back from Australia. At that time I was my heaviest ever at 77Kg. I’m 28 and have always played sports competitively but I was a relative rookie to the gym and lifting weights. When I first contacted Eddie we had a good chat about what I wanted to get out of working with a PT. My main aims were to lose weight and tone up. I never really had a big desire to gain huge amounts of muscle. He completely tailored my exercise and nutrition plan to achieve these goals.

I started out doing Eddie’s 6 week transformation program and in that short period of time with just 2 sessions a week made great progress that was visible on the scales and in the progress photos. After that six week program was up I continued seeing Eddie twice a week and have being so now regularly for almost a year. In that time we have had several short and long-term goals to keep me focused. Despite some minor set-backs I have continued to make steady progress and now at 69Kg I am not only the lightest I’ve been since I was at school but also most toned and strong I’ve ever been in my life.

During the winter lockdown(s) when the gyms were closed, I used to meet Eddie twice a week in Buckler’s forest. We did some grueling training including hill sprints and circuits. He would also bring TRX and resistance bands which allowed me to keep some of the strength I had gained pre-lockdown. Eddie is great at being creative like this – even in the gym if the machine or rack he intended to use is occupied he will have a plan B or C to get the exercise done in another way. Having done those sessions twice a week in Buckler’s Forest with Eddie (at times in horrendous conditions), when team sports restarted I was flying fit compared to my teammates and opponents because of the work we had been doing.

Eddie absolutely loves what he does and his enthusiasm is evident not only during the sessions but also in the hard work he does to track his clients progress and give regular updates and advice. The ‘My PT Hub’ app he uses is great for allowing you to track your weight, nutrition and progress photos easily. I’ve always been a great believer in that if somebody is passionate about their job that this will no doubt be reflected in the quality of the work they do and their knowledge of their trade – Eddie is a perfect example of this.

He pushes me to the limit during every session but does so in such a positive way. I can definitely say I progress and achieve goals much greater and faster with him than I would without. It’s also great that we have regular slots each week which in general we keep to which makes it easier to be disciplined. However, as a doctor who does shift work, sometimes I have to change my appointments and Eddie is always helpful and flexible with this.

In summary, I would highly recommend Eddie for anybody looking for a PT for any reason. He has a great knowledge base. He will work extremely hard to get the most out of it for you and he will tailor the exercise & nutrition plans to achieve your goal. He is passionate about it, and he is extremely supportive and positive during and between sessions.

Eddie is the most talented personal trainer I’ve ever had and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their fitness! Almost 8 weeks in, I’m over 10kg lighter and both mentally and physically a million times stronger!

I signed up to start training 3x a week in person with Eddie at the end of lockdown 3, mentally and physically in disrepair, with a long-term back injury. Starting training with Eddie was the best decision I made - he is professional, extremely knowledgeable and makes every session fly by with his fun coaching style. He pushes you to your limits, whilst also having a laugh at the same time - the perfect balance. Eddie has created a training plan that is completely bespoke to me and has gradually built strength up in my back again which I am over the moon about and I no longer have daily back pain.

Outside the coaching sessions, Eddie tracks workouts and other key metrics like macros and daily steps via his app and is always just a message way if you need additional support. I have been super impressed with his weekly progress updates at the end of each week which always keep me motivated to continue strong into the week ahead! Eddie has been a total star at helping my shift towards healthier eating habits and always helps to plan strategies ahead of challenging weekends away with friends.

Eddie’s training sessions are at Arc Gym in Wokingham which is an awesome place to train - the staff are all welcoming and the gym has state of the art training equipment, as well as an outdoor training area which is fantastic.

Eddie is really everything you could ever want in a PT - invest in your health with Eddie, commit to the journey and the results you will get will be life changing. I’ve found a great PT but also a great friend in Eddie and look forward to continue training in the months to come!

I was pretty apprehensive before starting personal training as someone that’s neither a gym bunny or a fitness enthusiast. I wanted to build my confidence and self esteem as well as push myself physically. To do that I know I needed someone who would put me at ease whilst not pushing me too far that I was put off by training. Eddie instantly did this and took time to really understand my goals both mentally and physically which were both equally as important to me. He’s patient, professional and motivating. He also approaches PT as a way of helping people improve their health and wellbeing and sees it as a lifestyle change rather than just a temporary physical change that can’t be maintained long term. Eddie tailors the training to suit individual needs knowing when to back off when you have an injury. His extensive knowledge of exercise regimes and diet has helped me tremendously. I started working with Eddie around July time - I am a runner so was relatively fit, but also pretty weak and injury prone. Eddie has worked with me to help address areas of weakness, regularly challenging (and despairing!!) about me, especially when he tells me to rest and I just laugh! His sessions are brilliant fun, very varied and I am seeing some good results. I have dropped a dress size and generally feel so much better about myself! Whenever I need help, I can call him, his advice around mobility, stretching and nutrition has been amazing. He is also completely reliable, sessions are never ever cancelled and he is never late. TOTALLY recommend Eddie as a PT. I started my training about 4 months ago, overweight, very low on energy struggling to keep to any excercise routine, not mention trying to recover from a trapped nerve which reduced the mobility in my right arm. Eddie put together the sessions to worked around this, and now I’m able to lift weights I never would have thought possible, increased my fitness and lost weight! Eddies positive, cheery attitude makes the sessions fun and engaging. Not to mention the support outside the session has been totally invaluable! He really thinks about his clients needs and what they want to get out of the PT sessions, and always explains the excercises and their benefits! I trained with Eddie for just over 3 months & honestly can't thank him enough for everything he did for me! Not only did he help me loose weight, he taught me how to have a good relationship between eating well & training with having a life! I managed a holiday, festivals & normal outings like going for dinner, yet still made progress every week & didn't feel guilty like I have done in the past. Eddie also taught me that it's not about losing as much as possible in a small amount of time, it's taking it steady so it's maintained going forward. He also helped me with flexibility, mobility & making sure I had correct form. I was terrified of deadlifts as I struggled with the form in the past, so we took it back to basics & worked on it until I was confident again & ended up lifting 50kg in a conventional deadlift - not something I could have dreamed of before! Eddie is also just a really lovely guy to train with, nothing is too much trouble for him, he's happy to advise you & to answer questions around the clock. Eddie is an outstanding PT. He really takes the time to explain different exercises to you, which is so useful as you really get the full benefit (and feel the burn). You also then feel super confident rocking up to the gym by yourself. Eddie is also super attentive. He noticed right that my back is out and implemented specific stretches to help me improve this. Overall, he is an absolute joy to train to with. He always pushes you in your sessions (in the best way). The best bit is that you will always leave with a massive smile on your face as he makes exercise fun ???? ???? I would sooo recommend Eddie, having completed a 6 week transformation, I was so much happier after the 6 weeks, Eddie really pushes you to progress In every session, hes so knowledgeable and provides advise on nutrition and workouts outside of the sessions, always on hand with guidance outside of the sessions. i really enjoyed my 6 weeks i feel trimmer and look better, will defo be taking advantage of more sessions.... dont delay get on board the fitness train and contact Eddie for all your pt needs! ???????????????? I did a 6 week transformation with EWPT and I can’t speak highly enough of Ed . I’ve lost 10kgs and feel so much fitter and stronger. Wow, where did that 6 weeks go! Training with Eddie has been amazing. Before starting the transformation I was so unsure on what foods to eat, what to do in the gym and the best techniques etc. .. that all changed very quickly thanks to Eddie and his vast knowledge! The sessions that he put together where tough but he made them fun, so I never felt like I couldn’t be bothered! I could never really shift much weight before joining with him but now I’ve reached the finish I’m so happy with what I’ve achieved and now I know it really is possible if you put your mind to it with that professionalism from Eddie. The journey isn’t over yet, if anything it’s just begun but I can’t thank Eddie enough for what you’ve done so far! I trained with Eddie for 6 weeks. Although it was tough I certainly saw the benefits and the knock on effect it had on my mentality. I have been training with Eddie for over a year now, starting just with a 6 week transformation last March and ending up here 1 year later 24kgs lighter and so so much happier, with a training regime I absolutely love. After having my baby in 2017 I really struggled to get back in the gym and felt quite self conscious because I had put on a fair bit of weight and lost all of my fitness. I wanted to get back to where I used to be with weight training and running but knew it was going to take a long time to get me there so it was really hard to get motivated.. With constant guidance and support from Eddie I have achieved so much so far, and have more goals set for this year too. Eddie has helped me set realistic goals and supported me to achieve them, despite a few injuries along the way too which he has been flexible to adapt training around and help me alter my diet. He understands that life happens and we have ‘bad’ weeks sometimes, but he’s always there to coach me back on track and remind me that consistency is key and one ‘bad’ day isn’t going to ruin it all (which is very much the mindset I used to have!).. I would totally recommend Eddie as a trainer to anyone, whether you already train but need some focus or whether you’re completely new to training and need to know where to start.. The gym sessions are tough but great fun too, I think Eddie’s style of training is the perfect mix of taking training seriously enough to get great results but having a laugh too! :) More...

I started 6 weeks with Eddie because i could not get my myself back in the gym or get any motivation after 5 months off! Eddie helped me get back into it with confidence and was very knowledgeable within all aspects of fitness. My main goal was to lose weight and also improve my Technique within certain Exercises and he has made it so much better! He gives great support all the way through your training and is open to help you with whatever, whenever! I couldn’t recommend Eddie enough, he is amazing! I’ve just completed 10 weeks training with him. I’ve enjoyed it so much and getting some great results that I’ve decided to extend to a further 6 weeks. Eddie is so lovely, makes you feel so at ease and comfortable.
