Who is this qualification for?

This course is for those who currently work as Door Supervisor that needs to renew their License and also meets the SIA’s mandatory top-up requirements.

How long will it take?

This qualification must be undertaken over a minimum of 2-days. The SIA stipulate 13-hours as minimum contact time (MCT).

Course Description
Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a CCTV Operator in Public Space Surveillance. This qualification is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the standards setting body for the security industry and the SIA, which regulates the private security industry.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners are expected to undertake 32-hours of learning with a minimum of 23 contact hours (3-days).

Topics covered

These include the key purposes of the private security industry, the differences between civil and criminal Law, the roles and responsibilities of each member of the CCTV team, the importance of accurate record-keeping, equipment fault reporting procedures, and actions to take if a suspicious object is found in the CCTV control room.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a practical assessment and a multiple-choice examination.

Course Description
Who is this qualification for?

The Black Eagle Academy Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a Close Protection Operative as it provides them with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence. This qualification is based on the SIAs ‘Specifications for Learning and Qualifications for Close Protection Operatives.

At B.E.A we are committed to set up new high standards in the Private Security Industry and we believe this starts with the quality of training we provide. With this at the very forefront of everything we do, we have strived to create the most realistic and professional close protection training experience found on the market today. Although you will achieve the Level 3 Working as a Close Protection Operative, in addition to this, your training will include unarmed combat and evasive driving, live firearm training and advanced covert surveillance techniques. You will need a valid passport because the training may include oversea’s travel (up to 5 days)

How long will it take?

This qualification must be undertaken over a minimum of 13-days and maximum of 21 days with 140 hours as minimum contact time (MCT).

Course description
Who is this qualification for?
This course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid. It is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments, such as small offices. The course covers first aid protocols for adult casualties only.

Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.

How long will it take?
The course lasts one day and takes place in the classroom.

This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering:

Course Description
Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 22 hours of learning, typically over three days, with a minimum contact time of 18 hours.

Topics covered

The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
