Finding a company to clean our block paving was a daunting prospect. Anyone can pick up a power washer and tell you they know what they're doing! I opted for Jonathan because he used videos to demonstrate his workmanship and from his Facebook page he seemed a good, honest communicator. I was right! From start to finish he was in constant contact, telling me what each process involved and working with the weather to get the perfect results. What do you love most about your job?
I love to see the results and transformations that can be achieved whether it is bringing a tired-looking natural stone patio back to life or refurbishing a tarmac driveway with two coats of specialist tarmac paint bringing it back to black or removing weeds & moss build up from block paving. It is also very satisfying removing fuel, oil and paint stains from paving.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was tired of working for someone else in a job I wasn't enjoying and trapped by a pay slip at the end of every month dreaming of a better life. I knew I wanted to work for myself but didn't know what I wanted to do. A good friend up in Scotland had set-up a pressure cleaning company and told me how he was enjoying it so much and said "we don't you spend a few days working with me to see how you like it" After that, I knew what I wanted to do and 16 years later I'm still doing it and still enjoying it.

I believe Yorkshire Driveway Cleaning stands out as we are contactable, reliable, knowledge (we know what to use and how to treat different surfaces without damaging them) honest (we don't offer any false promises or ask for any payment up front like some companies). With the beauty of technology, we can sometimes provide quotes remotely as we can use Google street view and Google Earth to measure up and ask our customers to send over some up to date photos of what they require cleaning and quoting for.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
To keep our customers and ourselves self from Covid-19 we are doing the following:
No handshaking
Maintaining social distancing rules
No cups of tea or coffee required
No need to use your facilities
No need to have close contact with each other
We'll ask you to move your garden furniture and plants pots prior to cleaning your paving and/or decking to minimize what we touch
Anything we touch (outside taps, gate handles etc) will be sanitized before we finish the job.
Pressure Cleaning
The pressure cleaning of external hard surfaces, paving, decking, walls.
Gutter Cleaning
Gutter cleaning and checking downpipes for blockages using the SkyVac gutter cleaning system with the World's most powerful free-standing vacuum cleaner.
