I contacted Georgina at Howshounds and she instantly replied, sought out our problems with our new puppy and provided really easy solutions to follow. Our problems were around house training and biting. Our puppy’s breeder had given us pointers but those methods were making him uncontrollable and defensive. Within 48 hours after talking to Georgina we noticed such a difference and much improved behaviour in our puppy. We are less stressed and so is our dog! Georgina came to visit us this morning. What a lovely lady, very patient and understanding she gave us so much information about calming Bella down, showing her who is the leader, cage training, walking to heel and recall. Where do I start I have a slightly confused 12yr old lab x who refused to turn left when leaving my drive. You have to see it to believe it. Georgie has been marvellous. She stripped the problem down and gave me a lot to think about and a number of things to start correcting his bad habits. He is much a work in progress, but he eats better, sleeps better, cuddles me so much more and to date he will go 3/4 of the way down the road and yes to the left, with just the merest wave of liver sausage. I enjoyed working with Georgie who gave me support and many insights as to what was going on with my dog. I feel more relaxed with my dog and he is as well. He's gone from being "on guard" all day to sleeping in the afternoons. His barking is much improved and he enjoys his playtime if we can't get out for a walk. Georgie EMAIL'd her reply and followed that with a phone call very soon after I sent off my request for quotations. She sent some details online and followed this up with a visit as requested a few days later, arriving bang on time. She gave us loads of hints and tips and also explained clearly the reasoning behind her advice. It is now up to us to follow her advice and we know that she is at the end of a phone if we need to ask for more help within the next 3 months. Georgie was a life-saver for me! Our very gorgeous 12 week old Jackapoo was running rings around us and becoming increasingly demanding. I felt very anxious and unsure about how to manage her. Georgie came to our house and spent time explaining exactly how to go about crating/training Jessie. We started immediately and had immediate results. It’s been less than a week and Jessie has been sleeping through the nights in her crate with welcome top-up sleeps in the day. I had an extremely helpful phone call from Georgina Reid of Howshounds and planned to take up her service but when the puppy came to stay with me I was able to devote time to getting it to use the garden and it responded very quickly. We had hardly any accidents at all.

Georgie was very helpful from her 1st contact with us, giving us a lot of advice over the phone and by email before we met her. When she arrived at our house she immediately took control of our dog, and started training straight away. She explained his different behaviours and the dog psychology to us which helped us understand him better. Georgie spent over 2 hours with us answering our many questions and showing us what we needed to do. She then followed this up with an action plan to remind us what we discussed, which is very helpful as there's a lot to remember. We could see the difference in our dog immediately. Today was our 1st full day following her recommendations and although challenging at times we can already see a marked difference in our dogs behaviour, he's calmer and responding well.
