Very unhappy with the way we found our two dogs when we went on Tuesday to pick them up earlier than planed. They had been moved from the main kennel area where we had left them , to a what they called a kennel around the back. It was so sad to see , all I can say it was like being put in solitary confinement, it was dark wet with a wall at the back and front of them . They only had one bed between them with a piece of rag as a blanket. But the best was I brought there bedding for them. They hadn't been fed the way we asked either. Disgusting. Got them home they drunk a hole bowl water and they were really hungry too . Plus we had to bath them , they really stunk. Very very disappointed. Never again. More...

My 5 dogs have been going here for over 7 years. Not easiest dogs to please and a mixture of different breeds. The dogs jump in their van as soon as they see it! The staff are very caring and animal lovers. I would not trust my dogs with anyone else as in the time they have boarded here, they return very happy and healthy. We have used Windmill Farm Kennels for years now. Our dogs have always enjoyed their stay with them. We board our two Jack Russell's together. They are fed properly and given adequate walks. The accommodation is as comfortable as a kennels can be. We always bring our dogs beds and leads with them so they have the smells of home. we brought our ex racing greyhound to your kennels and from the booking to him actually staying has been first class ,when we came to pick him up he looked a million dollars and really happy ,the staff were so friendly and helpful and the kennels were luxurious , and next time we go away we will bring our dog back without hesitation

My large border collie cross is nervous around other dogs so I was looking for somewhere that could deal with his needs. I've been taking him here for four years and found the kennels here to be ideal. The individual quarters are spacious and clean and there's been no problems with him on return. I went on a vacation for a week and it was our first time using windmill dog boarding.I was naturally a little nervous but during the holiday I called a couple to times and spoke to the friendly staff who reassured me my maxi was doing well and all is fine. When I picked her up she was happy to see us , she looked well looked after and bubbly (no change in her charecter) I will highly recommend using windmill for dog boarding services. I have been using Windmill Farm Kennels for a few years now, and have no problem recommending them to others. In fact have just returned from a visit there today with someone I have referred. Small group of polite and efficient staff make booking via email so easy, and check in /check out simple and swift. Dogs are always excited to arrive there by car, or for Jonathan or Neil to collect them from my home, which is both very fairly priced and a god send when rushing around getting ready to go away etc. Have always found dealing with everyone at the business simple, and even when there is an issue with one of the dogs when checking them in, post-op, or a little under the weather, they have been both understanding and considerate to my requests. Given how awkward my dogs can be with other people, leaving them with Windmill Farm leaves me free of worry, and regular email updates while I'm away put my mind at rest. Can't recommend the place enough. And that's before mentioning the lovely location, purpose built kennel blocks, weather proofing, regular cleaning and sanitising, and of course how well fed and looked after the dogs always come home. We needed boarding kennels for our dog after relocating from overseas to the UK. Jonathan at Windmill Farm was very helpful and flexible, despite our dates changing a number of times. The prices were extremely reasonable compared to others in London and the South East, and when our dog was returned to us, he was freshly washed and in great health and spirits. We looked at various kennels before choosing Windmill farm as the place to board our dog Barney when we go away. The kennels are clean, modern and we liked the fact that each kennel has its own heat lamp and the dogs are walked daily. The staff are great and Barney always seems happy to go there.
