What do you love most about your job?
Meeting people and ultimately helping clients keep assets safe for their family and those they love, by putting as much protection in place as possible while they are still able to do so. During your lifetime it is essential that you have full access to, and use of, your assets, so that your quality of life is not jeopardised. This is particularly important during your retirement when the ability to replace capital is significantly reduced.
Effective planning should not involve ‘giving it all away’ or putting your own financial security at risk to benefit your future beneficiaries. It should, however, give you the peace of mind of knowing that whatever happens in the future, you or those that you trust, will remain in control of your assets and that you will not lose control to the State.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Why Thyme Wills? Simple really. It’s a play on the word ‘Time”; we all have too little of it, very few of us can manage it and we always seem to be running out of it! In medieval times Thyme was used to ward off evils (think feuding families). Mostly though, Thyme Wills is all about you!
Having spent some years in employed roles within the industry, my clients were constantly being let down by the 'back office'. My clients are important to me and so now I can provide the same top level service but not just at the beginning of the journey, throughout the entire journey.

I am a specialist Will Writer and Estate Planning Consultant. I am a member of the Society of Will Writers. I established Thyme Wills at the beginning of 2018, having spent some time in employed roles within the industry and am now able to provide my clients with a top level service, all protected under my own £2.5m Professional Indemnity insurance and Membership of the Society of Will Writers Code of Practice.

Yes. Since Covid-19 most of my business is carried out online via Zoom as more people are feeling more comfortable with this platform

Proper estate planning consists of Wills, some form of Trust and Lasting Powers of Attorney. My planning is bespoke to your own requirements and so you can choose to do some of it, all of it, or none of it.
