What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I don't think there is one particular secret, more a mixture of things that have to be right. The technical details, such as lighting and composition are obviously important in creating an interesting image, however timing is the real key.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What the final outcome of the project is, for example if it is for print file size and image format will be different than a web based project just for social media. I would also ask about the type of photos that have inspired the project, if the client had a specific style or look that they wanted captured. As I treat each client individually, the questions will differ between jobs.

Creating a final project that is both memorable and interesting.
