Mark has been doing my chimneys for 5 years now, he is always on time, is very thorough, leaves no mess and goes out of his way to be helpful, whether that is fitting in with specific times or, on this last occasion, refitting a loose cowl on the top of the chimney . .. and he always has good advice on which logs are best and how to keep the glass on my log burner clean. Andy came and swept two of our chimneys, kindly fitting us in at short notice when we were having trouble. He was friendly and efficient, sorted out our problem (which turned out to be a live pigeon stuck too far up the chimney for us to see!) and left our house spotless.

Excellent service. I needed to have a chimney capped and the concrete flaunch around the chimney pipe replaced. It was slightly tricky work because the chimney is hard to reach (one ladder required to roof, then 2 more up and over it). Steven did the work with absolutely minimum fuss and gave very helpful explanations about the work involved (including footage of chimney via a live camera feed!). The cost of both jobs was reasonable and well within the quotation. I would definitely use Steven again. More...

What do you love most about your job?
In my job, no day is ever the same! I get to meet some lovely people on my travels and I really enjoy making sure their chimneys are as safe as possible and advising on possible improvements - even if it's just a reminder to test their Carbon Monoxide alarms regularly.
Powercleaning is also really enjoyable as I get to work outside and also get to see the full effect of the cleaning process. It is also great to see my customers' smiling faces when they realise how their patio/driveway should look!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always wanted to be in control of my own professional destiny and wanted a job where I could get my hands dirty (I think you could say I have done that!).
