What makes a great website?
A great website has a clean design with easy navigation and dynamic images. It is key that the user can navigate through the site and retain information easily.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When starting a new project with a client, I always ask if they have any designs that they gravitate towards or that inspire them. What fonts or colors are they envisioning? I also always ask what their time frame and budget is as well, so we are all on the same page.
Describe your creative process.
I usually start my creative process by googling ideas that are in-tune with the project I am working on. As an artist, I am a visual person, so I like to see what other ideas are out there and how I can be inspired. From there, I start designing and if it's a project like a logo, I just let my ideas fly. I may come up with eight designs or I may come up with twelve. I usually sleep on it for a day, so I can look at it with fresh eyes and send the first draft to the client. I usually take about 3 days to get something for the client to see. From there, we continue to tweak things until it's just right. If the client wants to hear what I think, I will share my ideas, otherwise, I usually let the client lead the way.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
This kind goes along with what questions I ask before beginning the project. Before I start a project, I need the following information: when do they need the final piece and what is the budget. In terms of designing, any designs that they gravitate towards, any fonts or colors they like, and any information that will need to be included on the piece/website. I also inquire about who their audience is.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the people I get to work with every day. It's an amazing feeling being the person who brings their vision to life. Having someone be happy with my work and being part of their journey is an incredible feeling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always wanted to work for myself and I have always been a hard worker. I felt that working in an office hindered me from working on all different projects. I love being on my own schedule, communicating and working with my clients directly.
Why should our clients choose you?
I will make sure the client is satisfied with the project. I communicate in a clear and purposeful way explaining every step of the work, and I get work done in a reasonable timeframe. I take pride in what I do and have a strong work ethic.
