Whitehouse Hotel

We stayed for 4 nights and have to say we really enjoyed it. Yes the rooms are not 5 star luxury but for the amount you pay are extremely nice. Room was spotlessly clean as was all of the linen and the beds (twin room) were really comfortable. The location is perfect, and we had two huge windows overlooking the sea front- a real bonus with the fireworks display on Wednesday, we were able to stay in the warm and watch!||We ate in the restaurant on one of our four nights and the food was delicious although the portion sizes are very large - we are not big eaters. ||Paul (owner) and all of the rest of team we encountered were helpful, chatty and polite. ||We will definitely stay here again.||If you are looking for 5 star luxury then not place for you. But If like us you like independent, clean comfortable and friendly, I’d recommend here. More...

Having stayed only 3 nights, wish I'd booked for the whole week. As my subsequent accommodation wasn't anywhere near as fab, and it cost more. Right on the seafront 50yds from the beach. Weve stayed at the Whitehouse before and the rooms are being updated but I suppose it takes time and money, but they are lovely people the food is good and the rooms are clean . .... you get what you pay for. We will probably be booking again next year because its situated right on the prom, close to town and shops and having a sea view room makes our holiday ..... More...

Called in here for a Sunday roast after seeing the board outside, 2 courses and a glass of wine £18 for Two people, we were not disappointed, lovely welcome off a blonde lady (sorry didn't catch her name) ,we didnt want the starter which was a choice of patè prawn or melon but were allowed to swap this and have dessert instead, we had a choice of meats all cooked lovely, carrots sprouts broccoli ,giant Yorkshire puds and thick tasty gravy ,it was a good old fashioned sunday roast/Christmas dinner (we had pigs in blankets as well ,we followed this with choc fudge cake and ice cream . 8 had large glass of white which was great the hubby had a pint of lager total bill. £21.00 unbelievably great value ,well done White House . stayed for 2 nights in November, with my wife and mother in law, booked a standard single for the in law and a standard double for me and my wife both with sea views, on arrival at the hotel i wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews on here, but i have to admit i was pleasantly surprised. the reception area warm and welcoming with lovely roaring coal fire, check in was fast and hassle free, the room me and my wife had was on the ground floor, comfortable bed recently refurbed and clean, was quiet the 2 days we were there but i feel there could be a problem with noise on weekends or in busy seasons as its right next to the bar and entertainment room, my in laws room was on the 2nd floor accessed by lift or if your feeling fit up 2 flights of stairs. again with a comfortable double bed, clean bedding and a very small but again clean bathroom. breakfast on both morning was excellent value for money £6 for full cooked breakfast with cereal fruit juices and coffee, evening meals were also very good, good choice on the menu excellent sized portions, starter main and a glass of wine for £15 for 2 people absolute barging. the white house might not be to everyones liking but the 2 days we spent here we really couldn't fault anything, will be booking again for next year. Paul and others at the reception were very friendly and accommodating, the hotel has superb sea view, it is really value for money, right in the middle of the town too, lots of supermarkets and restaurants are only a couple of minutes walk.

My husband has been quite poorly, and I wanted to take him to Llandudno to visit my brother and his wife. My brother doesn't have room to accommodate visitors, so I set to on my laptop to find us somewhere to stay. ||||I decided on The White House because it seemed central, and was a very good price, half the price I had paid last year for similar. I telephoned and spoke to Mathew, and he couldn't be more helpful. Yes, we could have a ground floor room; yes, it overlooked the prom (very rare in ground-floor rooms!); yes, there was a shower; Yes, full English breakfast was available! I booked!||||This was only a few days before our trip on 30th June, and the following evening I remembered "Trip Advisor"! I was shocked! Some of the reviews told of terrible conditions! I was full of trepidation! What have I let ourselves in for!||||We arrived just before 2.00pm and I have to say, the chap on the desk, Paul, I think, was lovely! "Do you want to see the room?" The room was spotless, the beds were new with snow-white bedding and "good" pillows! In the wardrobe were extra pillows and blankets. We could see the sea from the windows! The bathroom looked new, and we had facilities for making tea & coffee. The television was smallish, but adequate. The wifi was free! Breakfast the next morning was delicious with sausage to die for!||||This is my honest review of our experience of The White House. I know that the whole building is being renovated, and maybe some people have had a different experience with different rooms, but c'mon, the cost is about the same as a meal in a restaurant! I haven't found anything to compare!||||A big "Thank You" to all the staff of The White House! We will definitely be back! More...
