Larry is hands down the best personal trainer I’ve found in Boston. A great new addition to the area!

I can't say enough about the excellence of Larry and the Waju Fitness in Newton!! I've been working with Larry since September 2018. I am in my 60's and have some issues with my lower back and knees. Larry has an exceptional level of knowledge and experience to personalize a fitness program that protects against injury while strengthening the muscle groups that will also protect weaker areas. He is helping me improve my balance which was a concern. He works with people at all levels of fitness with a wide variety of goals and abilities. His vast breadth and depth of knowledge ensures that each client is intelligently guided towards their goals. He is truly committed to improving people's health. His manner is friendly and personable while staying focused on making each session truly valuable. Jane A. in Wayland More...

Larry is the BEST!! I have been training with Larry for the last 3 years - I started when I was 18, and I have been through a lot since then. Travel, school (finals, etc), medical difficulties, travel. No matter what, Larry always does a great job accessing my energy and physical levels, allowing me to re-gain any strength I've lost and eventually move past my old limits. This all got even better since Larry opened up his own gym in Newton. Even though it's a longer commute for me, the experience is incredible. His space allows for both weight based exercise and more dynamic running based exercises. After every workout, I always feel tired (in a good way), but not too sore and painful due to a good stretching and foam rolling routine.Larry is such an incredible trainer and person. There is absolutely no better place you can go than Waju!!! More...

Q&A

First off, we complete formal assessments to see how the body responds to movement before we start any exercises. We check flexibility, mobility, and stability. We do physical and functional assessments. We have a variety of assessment methods that will be presented to you during your consultation because everyone has there on definition of fitness.. We reassess every 6-12 weeks depending on the client. We also have monthly check ups to inform client of any progress.

Discipline, self awareness, and sacrifices.
You have to be very discipline in regards to how you training, eat and sleep.
You have to be aware of your strengths and weakens. Be in tune with your body. it speaks, you just have to listen.
Saying no to the glass of wine or cookie at 10pm takes will power. Sacrifice staying up late.
