We have absolutely no worries when dropping Alfie off at the kennels - he knows to go straight to where the toys are kept and he goes willingly into his kennel a sure sign he’s happy when staying there.

We had never left our dog at a kennel before and we were so nervous, but she was so well taken care of. We have no reservations leaving her at this lovely kennel. We know that she got a lot of attention, because when we picked her, our very sensitive mongrel, was acting completely happy and normal. I kenneled my two dogs here a couple of weeks ago. My Labrador had never been in kennels before and I was anxious about him settling. My fears were immediately alleviated. Christine & Caroline were very welcoming and both dogs were wagging their tails as I left. I collected them a week later and they were still wagging their tails. My two Westie's Lyla and Jauntie are just back from spending a fabulous ten days at Valley Forge. One of my girls had an on going medical problem which required daily medication, this was handled very well and I'm pleased to report Jauntie now has the all clear from the vet, well done to all at Valley Forge! My girls have been returned to me well fed, well exercised and totally not bothered about being home now, this is probably due to the walks four times a day. Was apprehensive taking Lexi here, as she has a few issues after spending a long time at a rehoming centre and being terrified of other dogs. I needn't have worried. She was more than well cared for and all her needs taken into consideration. The owners come across as knowledgable and very caring and its obvious by Lexi's demeanour now she is back home that they are BOTH!! Thanks to the lovely ladies at the kennels that came to my rescue and saved my two beautiful dogs from being put to sleep due to a break up. I can't thank them enough for giving my dogs the love and care that they needed, and much much more than I ever expected. We are on holiday in the area and needed someone to look after our 2 spaniels, Barney and Bracken so that we could go into Edinburgh for the day. I will never ever go past these kennels and it will always be my first choice. One of my dogs was refused by another kennel on the day,just a few hours before l was supposed to leave as he had had a seizure the week before. He had had them before but this was a new thing at that kennel. Found Christine and Forge Valley and l was in bits on the phone and panicking and she was absolutely brilliant-'Ok epilepsy and he's on meds so no big deal and if he has a seizure we'll just keep him calm and soothe him' It was music to my ears. Put the dogs in on Wed and picked them up on Monday and because Christine and Carolyn put pictures up on FB it was so great to see them and completely put my mind at rest. They really are fantastic and lm very lucky that our family holiday is in May and not height of summer as they're all booked up, so managed to get them in again. My little springer, Harley, has been looked after at Valley Forge a few times now and I cannot recommend them enough! She's still just a puppy and is quite wary and nervous but getting her used to the kennel environment was very important to us. Caroline and Christine have made sure she's eased in gently and they've given her lots of love and attention to make her feel comfortable. They've also sent me lots of photos and videos to show me how she's getting on which is so important when I miss her so much � Harley loves play time with Caroline's puppy Peanut so it's also amazing to know she has a pal to show her the ropes! Putting your furry family members in to kennels is definitely a stressful experience especially for the first time, but can’t stress enough how good they are at looking after them and treating them like their own family dogs. I have kennelled all 4 of my dogs here at one time or another but mainly my 2 boys. I have had trouble kennelling them before especially my staffie who tends to stress and not settle well but at valley forge with Christine he has completely taken to the place and her! I can go away on my holidays and not worry at all about them an have to say he seems to behave better for Christine than he does for me at home! She knows and understands Kza needs and gives him a lovely kennel where he can't see other dogs so he is not stressing himself out. 5 stars ain't enough in my opinion and would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to go on holiday and not have to worry about there dog. We have used Vally Forge twice now and on both occasions our dogs have came home very happy, they are obviously very well cared for and we receive constant updates and our messages are answered promptly. Should have posted this a couple of months back. I was badly let down on the day by another kennel due to my older dog being on epilepsy medication and was left in tears. Phoned Valley Forge and can't thank Christine enough-she completely calmed me down and by the time l got there an hour later the kennel was ready for both my boys. I'm just so glad it was end of Feb so was quiet as she gets booked up quickly. I will not go past this kennel now and already got my boys booked in for our summer holiday. Love also that they take pics and post them on their FB page so l could tell right away that they were having an absolute ball. Nothing was too much trouble and can't recommend highly enough. Our little doggy has a few issues from being re-homed and we'd never really been happy with other kennels (he'd always taken a few weeks to get back to normal after his visits), but I've never seen him so happy, content, and immaculately groomed as when we picked him up from Valley Forge. And he was his normal mischievous self as soon as we got home. The staff clearly care a lot and dedicate important one to one time with each doggy (and didn't mind our messages checking up on him when we were on holiday :) ). I am just back after leaving my dog Harvey there for an overnight visit to prepare him for his week stay there soon when we are away on holiday. Harvey is a wee rescue dog, 20 months, & we were a wee bit nervous leaving him, but when I picked him up this morning he was happy & relaxed, this is all thanks to Christine & Caroline, I CANNOT thank you enough, I feel happy knowing that when I'm on holiday Harvey will be well cared for.
