We had some issue several years ago with the staff, and their lack empathy and communication. Would have been a 1 star review. However this morning, we needed an adhd record for a university overseas. I contacted the office, totally expecting to hear they don't have them or a huge delay. The receptionist, I didn't catch her name, was great and forwarded my information to the person who handles the medical records, who's name I also didn't catch and I can't seem to find it on the email. Anyway, within 30 minutes, we received the ROI form and sent it back, and they emailed the records to the overseas doctor shortly thereafter. How often do you get records sent to another doctor that quickly! I was quite impressed with the new staff. More...

So many negative reviews here. Seems like some people didn't get what they wanted. I don't think you can expect to demand specific medication and assume it will be prescribed. I love Dr. Rempfer who is very knowledgeable ( he has 2 board certifications), and carefully crates the best treatment plan so I can already start feeling so much better. Additionally, my therapist Debbie Shepard helped me overcome my depression.Couldn't been happier with the place.Love the front desk staff especially Sabrina. More...

Uptown Psych psychiatrist and therapist are so caring and understanding and full of advice. Every visit is like going to a friend and disgusting anything that's on our minds

My therapist, Meenal Patel, is incredibly personal! I feel like I can truly be myself in our sessions. Finding the right therapist can be very challenging, but Meenal certainly eases the process. Dr. Medina has been super helpful too! He takes time to listen, unlike most doctors who are looking at the clock the whole time.I highly recommend Uptown Psych, especially Meenal and Medina. More...

Grain of salt warning, weighing in on the quality of care you will receive here from the reviews from the patients is a catch 22. Some of us may be average people navigating rocky territory and others may have the emotional range of Riccardo Muti ore none at all and aren't concerned to make this quality public information via Yelp.I have mixed feelings about the therapeutic process, but one think I've learned is that doctors are human, therapists are human, receptionists are stressed out, overworked humans who have to deal with patients respectfully and with a smile, and all of us have just enough of an idea of what were doing to convince ourselves that we deserve our titles or paychecks or whatever it be. Seeing any professional requires an immense degree of personal responsibility because there's no way to know what quality of caregiver they are and everyone has a personal preference. My experiences here have been intense and varied, but the great news is that there are so many doctors and therapists here, you can try a few out. It may be awkward to see you ex-therapist in passing, but no hard feelings, this is about you. It would be even more awkward to see your real ex in the waiting room.I've been going here for a few months and have never had an issue with scheduling. They text you twice before your appointment date. My insurance always goes through promptly.  It's right off the red line Lawrence stop and there is soon to be great parking. The water is cold and drinkable. The temperature is nice and warm when it's cold and nice and cool when it's hot. Therapy is what it is and very personal. I can't really imagine a 5 star anything that has to do with psychiatric conditions but as far as what counts for me (privacy, respect, communication), this place holds up. More...

Wow, I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews for this place. That's fine, everybody is entitled to their own takes. Here's mine. I started going to Dr. P in maybe 2013 or 2014 because she was someone who specializes in autism spectrum disorders and the like. At the time, I was concerned I had "something" going on with me, but I didn't know what it was specifically. I considered everything from a thyroid issue to just being a stupid human, but Dr. P sat down with me and talked through my symptoms and added her own analysis to come up with my diagnosis. I was (and still am, obviously) on the spectrum. Cool, great, now what?Beyond her diagnosis, Dr. P went through me and my family's medical histories and backgrounds to determine the best course of action in tackling this issue. We determined a low dosage of an anti-psychotic would be the best, and if I'm being honest, that particular medication righted my ship and turned everything around for me. I had tried half a dozen different medications for the symptoms of my spectrum disorder, as well as its many comorbities, and Dr. P was able to find me the one that worked and treated me the best.I'm going four stars just because the business side of the practice can be shaky, and I think you'll see that a lot of the reviews here speak to that. I personally have never had any issues with them,  but the receptionists can stand to work on their person-to-person professional etiquette. They're often a little cold and less than receptive whenever I come in.Overall, I am happy to have found this place. I went from doctor to doctor, some of whom judged me, many of whom took my money and didn't even try to help me, but Dr. P is different. I would recommend her personally. More...

I have been seeing Dr. P or Dr. Richelle , as I call her, for over 2 years now. She has been nothing short of amazing to help me with any issues I have. Sometimes it is hard to get a hold of someone, but I just called today about an emergency, and someone answered right away and scheduled me an appointment for tomorrow. Dr. P is very understanding and very knowledgeable in what she does. I would recommend her to anyone! More...

It's been a few months and it's apparent some changes have gone down at Dr P's office. I couldn't be happier with them! Mae, who appears to have taken over the back end of things, is fantastic. I received a note from her letting me know they were sending out a check to cover what I overpaid, which was even more than I expected, and apologized for the trouble. She was both professional and friendly, and very genuine. She's even reimbursing me for the overdraft fee I was charged. My issue with the practice was entirely with the business end, and now that it seems to be getting on the right track? I'm blissful. Mae is helping me figure out my copay for my next appointment, and then, I'm happy to say, I'll be back in with the good doctor. Best of all, she's helping me make sure I don't have a gap in my medication. Hooray! More...
