What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to capturing terrific photography, especially at weddings, is decades of experience, stealth, a passion for photography, a fun personality and some very expensive kit.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
At our first contact or meeting I would ask about the clients hopes, wishes and budget. It's really more a case of my explaining the way I work and the clients asking me questions if they feel they need to. Meeting the happy couple usually last around 20 minutes and I then depart to leave the couple to decide so there is never any pressure at all.
What do you love most about your job?
People. Photography. Attending your wedding. The results. The joy I can bring. The savings I can offer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a hairstylist, always free on Saturdays for weddings, I have a studio photography past of hairstyles for my shops at the time. I heard many stories from clients of photographers who were not too socially skilled at weddings they attended and having been in hair-styling for so long, with a background in photography for decades, I knew I could offer better photography at better prices and that everyone would like my manners and willingness to please all at the wedding. It's a very important part of your day.
