What’s your interior design process?
We begin with an in-home consultation where we talk about your space, and the direction you'd like to go with it. After that we do a preliminary design with colors, furniture pieces, and estimates for the scope of work. If that design is agreed upon immediately the trade specialist come in to do their work ( and if not applicable) then orders can be placed for the new decor. When everything has arrived we come in to style and place finishing touches. If the preliminary design doesn't suit you we continue to work out the design until our client is happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been around home renovations my entire life. My father was the leading track home builder in the Southeast United States, building over 1,500 homes a year. The model homes were my stomping grounds, but they always were missing something, character. I began working with an interior designer in high school who inspired me to open up my mind to the world of home interiors and architecture. After working together for two years I moved to Calico as a merchandiser and stock associate, where I currently work part-time. However, I missed following the design process from beginning to end. I started my own business so I could continue transforming clients spaces and cultivating a greater sense of home for them through my designs.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a young professional who still has much to learn, but I have just as much to give back. My clients like working with me because I'm extremely personable, and want to gain an understanding of how they will use the space. Stylish spaces are great, but designs should be functional for a family, not a photoshoot. When I design a space functionality will always work harmoniously with the design.
