Tiffany Leggett is a graduate from the University of Georgia with her Masters in Social Work and is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with the Georgia Composite Board. She has her Masters in Addiction Counseling (MAC) with the National Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC).
Tiffany has over 14 years of experience in the treatment of substance use disorders and works well with both men and women in various stages of recovery. She also provides couples therapy and family therapy to persons with loved ones suffering with addiction problems.
Drugs and alcohol are symptoms of other issues within an individual. Tiffany understands this and knows that the individual is greater than their addiction. Thus, she treats these concerns in coalition with their addiction. Other issues that Tiffany has extensive experience with include: anger management issues, anxiety/depression, attachment/abandonment issues, codependency, coping skills, conflict resolution, disordered eating behaviors, dual diagnosis, grief/loss, history of abuse, mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship/marital problems, self-esteem, and sexual identity.
In addition to working with clients who have substance use disorders, Tiffany also successfully works with many clients who do not have substance use disorders but too struggle with the aforementioned issues. Clients, both in recovery and not, are all on a journey toward their own version of happiness. She has found that her ability to connect with the human spirit, regardless of the causation of pain, offers her clients the space they need to heal.
As a counselor, Tiffany provides unconditional positive regard for her clients and understands that some may feel ashamed about asking for help. She offers individualized treatment while also offering encouragement, guidance, and support. Tiffany fosters safety and trust in the therapeutic process and offers her clients the opportunity to heal and have a healthy life.
