Both my wife and myself are so relieved that we chose Tony as our wedding photographer. The pre-wedding / engagement shoot that Tony offers is so helpful to make even the most camera-shy person feel confident. He really listens to what your brief is and suggests some really creative and unique ideas that match your style and feel for the day.
Unlike a lot of photographers, Tony works with an assistant which was absolutely brilliant for the wedding day itself as it meant we got the same shot but from different vantage points and allowed us to have formal photos taken with Tony and the assistant to simultaneously capture informal shots of the guests.
With regards to the wedding album we could not have been happier. Tony clearly has a natural talent, not just behind the camera, but with editing images to compile the most beautiful, bespoke album that my wife and I are so proud to show off to friends and family.
We could not reccomend Tony enough as he really went above and beyond what we were ever expecting.

Now we just need to see if he will do a newborn baby shoot for us!! More...

My husband and i threw a 1950s wedding full of colour, fun and vibrancy. We didn’t want matching suits and bridesmaids dresses, we just wanted everybody to feel comfortable but in a vintage style. We wanted a photographer who would capture this style and laid back feel and Tony was perfect. He was open to capturing all kinds of shots which we requested and kept everything natural rather than very formal and typical of some wedding shots. Nothing was too much trouble for Tony and he put us and all our guests at ease. Tony captured the day perfectly and we are thrilled at the results. Tony was the photographer at our wedding in the Buxton Dome. He was absolutely fantastic and we got such great memories of our wedding day. He had a good balance of doing what we wanted and providing suggestions (which were great ideas). We got married in June 2016 at St Helen's Church, Darley Dale, followed by a reception at Middleton-by-Youlgreave.

Tony was our photographer for the day and we couldn't be more pleased with the photographs he produced.

We explained, prior to the wedding, that we didn't really want many staged photographs and instead preferred natural shots. The engagement photo shoot that Tony encouraged us to do, a month or so before the wedding, cemented this idea for us! We both felt quite uncomfortable posing for photos during the shoot, but this actually helped both ourselves and Tony to learn what our expectation would be on the day. We all felt that this was a really useful exercise.

On the wedding day itself, Tony was present throughout but was extremely discrete - we never really noticed that he was taking photographs, particularly at the church.

There were a few staged photos that Tony encouraged us to have at the reception and we're really glad he did - we particularly like the photo that we have of ourselves with all of our guests. We're really pleased to have that and that it was taken so quickly. As with all of the group photos, we never felt that lots of time was spent on them - which can sometimes happen at weddings.

Since the wedding, a number of our guests have commented on how impressed they were with how late Tony stayed. We have some great photographs of the evening which is the point that guests often stop taking pictures, so they're also some really lovely images to have.

The main point that we wanted to make to Tony about our wedding photos was that we wanted them to be as natural as possible and we both felt that this was achieved. Tony listened to our concerns and was considerate of the fact that we really didn't want any cheesy, posed photographs!

Although we have electronic copies of all the photographs taken on the day, the wedding album that Tony went on to produce is beautiful and a lovely keepsake to remind us of our fantastic day.

Tony photographed our wedding at Fischer's Baslow Hall in August - he was FANTASTIC to work with. He's friendly and kind and went above and beyond to listen to our ideas and ensure we came away with exactly the wedding photos we wanted. On the day, Tony put everyone at our small wedding at ease in front of the camera and made the whole experience really fun and relaxed. He also gave us some great suggestions, without being the least bit pushy!

Tony photographed our wedding at Hargate Hall and we were so delighted with the photos and all of the help he gave us. Tony really was instrumental in helping us plan our DIY wedding, giving suggestions for shots and how to get the order of the day right to maximise photo opportunities. The photos were warm and natural and really captured the day. They were beautifully edited and we had so many to choose from when we came to putting our album together later. Tony is a five star photographer, he knew exactly the style of photography we were looking for and brought out the romance of the day as well as the relaxed atmosphere of our wedding day in our photographs. We even hijacked an ice cream van !

Tony was the best wedding photographer I could have wished for. He totally put up with the Bridezilla in me, but at every meeting suggested great ideas which instilled confidence in me about what we would get for the final album. I was adamant that I didn’t want pictures of lines of guests, instead hoping for creativity to shine through in every shot. That’s exactly what I got and more!
