Sadly, after many years using Thompsons I will not be using or recommending them again.
This is a shame because I have been happy with the service, they provide but I recently had a visit for a boiler problem which with no exaggeration the engineer fixed in 30 seconds without removing the cover, for which they charged me £90.
I pointed out that I thought this was worthy of reconsideration considering the circumstances, however Thompsons after some consultation would not lower the charge.
Thompsons argued that the engineer had been on site for 40 minutes (true but on the phone discussing the issue) and that I had signed the terms and conditions (again true)
none of this is in dispute, I merely asked for some discretion on this one occasion , sadly not to be. And so not a company I wish to continue a relationship with.

The two workmen who arrived to install my bewhiskered boiler, were more than helpful, and explaining clearly how my new boiler worked, which I'm please with, which is great value for money, and they made sure they removed all the rubbish, and I'm more than happy with there work, and would recommend Thompson Gas and Heating Services to anybody wanting a new boiler great value for money

I have one of Thompson's service and maintenance plans. I telephoned on Tuesday and they came that same day and fixed the boiler issue . Everyone is very friendly and helpful at this firm. I also had to ring on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, and they came the same day at that time also. Highly recommend. More...

Thompson's have been fantastic for us, their aftercare has been great, when we needed remedial problems resolving they made sure it got completed and then in addition to our work they also went above and beyond over the Christmas period by making sure our elderly Grandma had her much needed hot water/boiler issue fixed just in time for her return from Hospital.
