I woke up and couldn't move my neck; I was in a lot of pain. I called TheraSmart first thing in the morning and got an appointment the same day. Alex is an outstanding Physio, I saw him for about 6 months with a number of issues, that stemmed from a neck injury. He was fantastic, listened and analysed, gave me exercises to do and eventually referred me on to a PT once i'd got to a point he felt a different specialist could assist me. I snapped my talus bone snowboarding in France and the ankle specialist warned me if i didn't take proper care of it there was a possibility he would have to fuse the bones. Straight after surgery I started rehab with Alex and although i couldn't weight bear we did a bunch of exercises to strengthen my ankle. Not only was i running again in 6 months but the ankle specialist said it was the best talus bone break recovery he had ever seen. I tore two ligaments and a tendon in my arm climbing and the surgeon said it'd be at least 6 months after surgery till I could climb again. I started physio with Alex as soon as I was out of my elbow brace, and he had me climbing again in 4 months. He obviously really knows what he's talking about, and is helping me balance pre-existing conditions with surgery rehab. More...

Alex is the best physio I've seen without any doubt - and as an ex-dancer I have had to deal with quite a few physio and other therapists. What differentiates him is that he doesn't only treat specific injuries but he focuses on the body as a whole, he understands the root causes of specific injuries and imbalances and he tailors the therapy and rehab programme to tackle these imbalances, prevent future injuries and help his clients create lasting physical wellbeing.
