What can I say...absolutely fantastic experience and the end photo was exceptional! We had our dog in the photo and even though we had our doubts about how the photo would turn out we had no reason to worry. We visited The Victorian Portrait Company twice whilst staying locally in Brendon on holiday this summer. Both of our photo sessions at the studio were a great deal of fun and the whole family really enjoyed every aspect of the experience.

The first family portrait we had done was in the Wild Western theme, it’s absolutely hilarious! We all look the part individually, but we especially love the costumes my 6 year old and 9 year old were dressed in, one was a little showgirl and the other was a cowboy and they were holding fans and little pistols, it’s a classic! My daughter loved dressing up and being photographed, it’s the first professional photo session she’s had and she absolutely loved it, she didn’t stop talking about it for days afterwards! My lad was dressed as a young outlaw, with guns and a bullet belt, he just looks brilliant.

The second portrait we had taken a few days later was in the traditional Victorian theme with top hat and tails for me and a beautiful dress for my wife. Our children looked wonderful, my son as a dapper victorian scholar and my daughter as an elegant young lady. The outfits made my daughter look five years older, really grown up. Seeing the result bought a tear to my eye. The costumes are really stunning and with all the extras, accessories, jewellery and hats to complete the look, the result was an authentic looking Victorian photograph which we plan to put up on the wall next to the family photographs of all our ancestors.

The photographer is so professional and seems very experienced at what she does, she was really good at getting the best out of all of us, addressing us and directing each one of us individually. The photography session itself is great fun and posing was easy for us all! The photographer took several photos and chose the best one for us. The best part for me was the surprise when seeing the finished photographs, it’s just brilliant!

We as a group of 5 from Germany planned to visit the shop to have a picture taken. So I wrote them an email to ask what it would cost and one hour later I had an answer. I was really impressed. Silly as I am I forgot to book an appointmen but that was no problem for them. They maid us feel really comfortable. We had a lot of fun in the shop and the team was really friendly and professional. Couldn't have been any better. Only took them half an hour and we got the finished pictures and all of us 5 were over the moon. Had a fantastic experience in the Victorian portrait company today! To celebrate my impending nuptials, myself and four of my favourite people were dressed up as saloon girls by an extremely professional photographer who made the whole experience so much fun. The picture looks amazing!!

Amazing experience - me and my family was transported back in time, what a place - authentic and so much fun. The professionalism and experience of the Photographer made this novelty portrait a treasured family photo. I highly recommend this to anyone young and old. As a photographer I know the perils of making portraits and I was super impressed by the integrity and energy of the photographer/owner. A wonderful and fun experience being transformed and transported to the Wild West! We are absolutely thrilled with our beautiful family portrait and will definitely recommend to friends and family .
