Rather overpriced for Shrewsbury, I felt. Nicely presented food but not exceptional. Some nice wines but bar poorly stocked with beer and the real ale I was served had to be taken back.

Went for a family meal with my brother and his fiancee who were visiting from New York so we were a fairly loud group, cracking jokes and laughing all evening, but the staff were great, the atmosphere was relaxed and we didn't feel like we were putting other people out (hopefully we weren't anyway!). We had cocktails to start, delicious food, and tasty desserts from the place next door which is attached (word of warning, the waffles are huge and piled high with ice cream, whipped cream, sauces, etc., easily enough to share between two). A thoroughly enjoyable meal out, and for 8 of us and the amount of food and drink we had it was very reasonable price-wise, so I'd be keen to go again for definite.

For the prices charged I was expecting food that would be better than that produced. I ordered fish, chips and mushy peas. My wife had a chicken and mushroom pie with chips. The first surprise was the size of the chips, most people I know would describe them as potato wedges. I couldn't tell if the mushy peas were home made or out of a tin. The fish was more grey than white, but the batter was superb. The tartare sauce was held in a lettuce leaf. Our drinks consisted of a tall (but slim) glass of coke with ice and a slice. For two plates of food and two drinks I parted with £30. Needless to say I'll be sticking to Wetherspoon's where the same menu is half the price and the chips are of a proper size.

Visited on a cold and windy Valentine's Day lunchtime with our son. Found The PeachTree to be warm and welcoming.

I dropped my wife and son off outside the The Peach Tree after driving round the one way system at the end of Abbey Foregate as you cannot turn right into the street with The Peach Tree in. I then went round the back of the abbey turned right and then parked in the Abbey Foregate car park ( £1.80 for 3 hours) and walked back to The Peach Tree.

The lunchtime had some special offers on having some specific courses as two for £10. Our son had soup and a nice cheese, bacon with a beef burger as part of this deal and was too full for a pudding! My wife had a steak and I had a very nice chicken and mushroom pie. All were accompanied by chips , again over dosed with salt ( a common problem in many local restaurants). I found the service very good but the drinks were slightly more expensive than other places locally ( £4.00 for a pint of Shropshire Gold).

Certainly worth a visit but might need to make reservations to ensure a place and enquire about the salt content of some foods!

Revisited on Wednesday 18 April 2018 on hot day - cool inside, fairly quiet but lovely food and puddings - added photos.

Service was as good as possible, honestly it was great, but management need to put a few more members of staff on.

Stopped at Treat with the children. Amazing choice if deserts all of which look amazing.

The children couldn't decide which ice cream they wanted so we're given a little taste of each. Great service and a great idea.

Visited for Dad's birthday - the food was beautifully presented, with generous portions and tasty local ingredients. Good vegetarian options (the feta was extra special).

Main was ok dessert was another thing, five choices three of witch were chocolate so for any one like me that does not eat chocolate that left only two to choose from. one was lemon meringue witch I don't like but they did have Apple pie and custard ok well it would have been if it had been home made custard not tin. It was a well known tin custard. Sorry but the price they charge it should have been home made. Disappointed

A very disappointing evening overall. The staff were very courteous downstairs in the bar area and efficient with our pre dinner drinks. We then went upstairs for our meal. Possible our bad choice, but not what I had hoped for. No one asked if we required more drinks (we had to go downstairs and ask at the bar). No desert menu was offered (again we had to ask for the menu after waiting over half an hour). There was no soap in the ladies and the toilet rolls were just loose on the floor. We didn't realise it was attached to a disco. Not what we anticipated at all.

Although recommended on trip advisor I thought the food was just average, bit of a let down.

I recently went to the Peach Tree with a group and was disappointed after a 90 minute wait for the main course which was micro sized- my friend ordered a Christmas dinner and was given one pig in blanket and small thin slither of turkey whilst my pie contained chewy steak and damp pastry. For pudding we waited an extra 45 minutes for again a tiny square of Christmas pudding. Overall it was severely disappointing and the staff were dismissive when I asked about the wait; they considered 40 minutes of wait to be 'a short wait'.

Avoid this restaurant with groups!

We went for breakfast/brunch. We had the 'light cooked breakfast' which was really nice. The staff were very friendly. We sat in the bar area and our dog was welcome to join us which was lovely

Visited Moma which is one of three restaurants in the Peach tree 'complex', the Ramen restaurant for my sons birthday. Food was fantastic, however service was slow and in the main part of the Peach Tree there was a very loud and noisy party going on, wit the house DJ being the loudest of them all. Check before booking if there is a party. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for this.
