Me & my missus stayed here for 4 nights with family and close friends last week for a 60th birthday. There was 20+ of us and still plenty of room. The cottages are beautiful and the views was spectacular. Me and the missus went on a beautiful walk from Dovedale to the tourist attraction stepping-stones witch cross the river Dove. And carried on with the walk back to the farm. Its a beautiful place. Highley recommend anyone to stay. I would say the only down side is you can't get any phone signal in any of the cottages and only can get signal from the games room witch is the orther side of the fort Court and can course a pain when it rains. I highly recommend to sove this issue. Is to put signal boosters in the cottages. And the WiFi is another issue. But a part from that. Its a beautiful place to stay and the owners are fantastic people and are there to help in anyway. I will be going back. More...

Another wonderful stay at lower damgate farm! Carolyn has been an incredible host - thoroughly attentive, friendly and quick to respond to our every need. We are always greeted with a warm welcome and find the cottages homely. Recommended to anybody looking to escape the hubbub and enjoy the company of the beautiful goats and alpacas in the rolling hills of the Peak District! This gem is worth a visit and we will continue to stay here all year round. More...

Well, what can I say...we have just got home from our wedding weekend at lower damgate farm and WOW! It wasn't actually what we expected, it was more! ! The location and staff were spot on with everything. Terri who helped us set up was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect! Also, Nick who drove us to the church was lovely and he even took my daughter back to the farm coz she was too hot on the coach. Carolyn and Karl, you have an amazing venue and should be so proud! We will definitely be back to visit (we might not leave next time though ) thank you for everything! More...

What an amazing and inspiring place. The minute you arrive at Lower Damgate Farm Cottages you feel comfortable and welcome. Everything is set up and each of the cottages is laid out with everything you will need. The whole place makes you feel good, if you're not amongst rescued llamas, goats & chickens the family dogs, Tiffin and Ozzie will be keen for a bit of fuss.
The venue itself has everything you need for a great day and as much as the idea is for DIY weddings you won't be left wanting with Carolyn and co around; if they can help they will and with a smile.
Such lovely people with such big hearts. I love what Carolyn has done here and I can't wait to return.

An amazing place for a break or a wedding day! My wife and I had our wedding reception in the barn at Lower Damgate back in 2012 and we have been back regularly since. The cottages are charmingly quaint, the scenery is sublime and the welcome from Carolyn is always very warm. Could not recommend highly enough. More...

I've just returned from Lower Damgate after a weekend celebrating Bonfire Night with some friend's and I can't recommend it enough. Such a beautiful setting out in the countryside with loads of open spaces to explore.
Carolyn is a great host, very warm, welcoming and friendly, she can't do enough to help!
The cottages are great and can sleep loads of people, there were about 20 of us including children and there was more than enough space for us all.
I first came here five years ago for a friends wedding and it's just got better and better... I can't wait to come back and see Carolyn and the cottages again!

Spent 4 wonderful days at Lower Damgate Farm celebrating a 40th birthday with 22 members of our family. The cottages are fantastic and well equipped and whilst allowing us our own spaces, we were able to all come together for a sit down meal in Reubens roost cottage. The pre-ordered keg of local Whims ale also went down a treat! The farm is surrounded by picturesque countryside and we enjoyed a long walk to the local tea rooms for lunch. Towns of Buxton and Bakewell are also worth visiting, as is Chatsworth House (expensive but great for kids). Thank you to Carolyn for her kind hospitality, where nothing is too much trouble. The children loved feeding the animals and collecting the eggs in the morning. We hope one day to return to Lower Damgate Farm and wish Carolyn all the every best. More...

I performed here on Saturday 28th April 2018 with my wedding band 'Punch The Air' for Rachel & Steves wedding and we all had such a brilliant time. The venue is just lovely and the interior is done out so nicely. Its a really good size room with a good size stage stage and the acoustics in there are great. The owner and staff really know how to make you feel welcome and the customer service goes above and beyond anything you'd expect. We had so much fun laughing at the friendly goats outside while waiting to set up. I perform at many different wedding venues throughout the country and I can highly recommend Lower Damgate Farm for your wedding. More...
