Sarah was our wedding photographer recently and she was absolutely brilliant. She knew exactly where to get the best shots and was great with organising disobedient guests! Our photos were waiting for us when we returned from honeymoon and we are so pleased with them and have had many compliments on them already. It will be difficult to whittle down the photographs for the album! Cannot recommend Sarah highly enough for your event; professional, creative and fun! More...

Just seen our wedding photos! Firstly, so many of my guests have raved about how lovely Sarah is, professional, funny and incredibly talented! All she did on the day was calm my neves and manage to catch everyone at their best. Looking at the photos has really brought back how happy we all were, so hard to capture that but she did!! Q&As

Being a freelance photographer means that I never get time to get bored. Every job is a different project, every week is different. I love working with people to achieve the photographs they want... but the best part of this job is repeat business and referrals, that's how I know I'm doing it right.

After years of working for high street portrait studios (every job from telesales to assistant manager) I realised I didn't like my job any more. I realised that I could offer a more bespoke and personal approach, focused on what the client needs. That's the simple version, the truth is I occasionally did a bit of moonlighting for a wedding photographer who I grew to consider a very good friend and mentor. He told me to quit my job and do it my own way (it took two years of nagging before I listened).

There's the right way, the wrong way and then there's my way. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I like the way I work.

My aproach to any project is to first find out about what you need. Whether we are talking about your wedding day, your website, your charity event, family photos or your pet chicken (yes I work with animals). No two weddings are the same... no two photo shoots are the same.

I work from a home studio when I'm not on location and this is reflected in my pricing . There are no hidden costs and I don't up sell. I work out my quotes based on an hourly rate on location and for product photography in the studio I charge per image.

The ministry of photography is my baby, I'm terribly proud of my business and the relationships I have built over the years. I continue to focus on relationships.
