I have been working with Marcus for the past three months as I needed to ensure my fitness levels were good for a hiking trip we had planned for Christmas 2017. During the time, Marcus ensured that not only did he push my fitness levels well past what would be expected for the trip, but he also gave me the confidence to know that I would not be letting the rest of the group down. It was a pleasure to work with him. I would have liked to add that all my goals were achieved during the trip, but unfortunately my husband was taken ill before the trip so we had to cancel. We will reschedule for another time and I will then let you know whether all the hard work Marcus encouraged me to do ha paid off. However in the meantime I feel so much better and more flexible than I have for a long time. I would not hesitate in recommending Marcus as a personal trainer. More...

I’ve been working with Marcus since June 2017 & I’ve lost 2.5 stones so far and during this time I’ve greatly improved my overall physical fitness and emotional wellbeing. Marcus Is incredibly committed to his clients - you can expect regular contact & advice in between sessions. The sessions themselves are very varied so you never get bored - and he always has great music during HIIT sessions. What really sets Marcus apart from other trainers is his insight into human psychology & how your limiting beliefs really impact on your ability to achieve your goals. 'I’ve been working with Marcus as my personal trainer for the past 3 months, meeting once a week for a gym session. This has been supplemented with regular support through email and texts. I’ve found it a wholly positive experience, making real strides forward in my fitness, diet and overall wellbeing.

From the very first time that I made contact with Marcus (which was just to discuss possibly meeting up to take me through the details of what he offered as a PT), I found his manor professional, yet warm and genuine. I knew then that I had found the right person to work with me.

I have found that Marcus provides a very holistic approach to personal training, working on my mental and emotional fitness alongside my physical fitness. His approach and style is geared to be focused on the long term goal, with which, achieving milestones at each session. With Marcus’s help I’ve pushed myself beyond my own expectations and what I thought I was capable of. He has provided me with dedicated support, so that I now know my way around the gym and can now confidently use all the equipment, free weights and tailored exercises which I can do wherever I am. I contacted Marcus to help me meet to increase my strength and fitness for a physically demanding trip I had planned two months later. We arranged a programme that suited both of us and we met at the gym three times a week for 8 weeks. He helped me by motivating me with his fantastic energy and enthusiasm, and by planning workouts and helping with my nutrition. He knew how much to push me and the workouts were gauged so well that I knew I was working hard but my muscles were never too sore to train again a couple of days later. Marcus always checked in via messenger to see how I was feeling and always available to give advice and change the workouts if some exercises worked better for me than others. I was so please with my progress and definitely met my target by the time the trip arrived. More...

I worked with Marcus for three months. When I started with him I was going to the gym on a regular but disorganized basis, and though I had a routine it was far from efficient, and though I was still losing weight I felt like I needed to kick things into a higher gear.

Marcus was extremely helpful in this, and I've learnt a lot working with him. The consistency in routine and guidance regarding resistance and weight training helped immensely.

Whilst I still haven't met all of my goals Marcus has certainly pushed me further in the right direction.

Starting personal training with Marcus has taken me from basic aspirations I did not have the courage to enact on my own, to achieving fitness goals very quickly. I was previously apprehensive about starting personal training and using most gym equipment but Marcus has listened to my aspirations and calmly guided me with patience and understanding to build my confidence and strength.

The most distinguished aspect about Marcus is his exemplary attitude to life. He encourages others to feel the same through his holistic approach, which considers all aspects of fitness for the mind and body. He is unquestionably fully committed to enhancing his clients’ fitness abilities as well as all round wellbeing. This is an accessible and refreshing style and one I have found works well for me. I am sure this approach will work for many people who may, like me, be initially nervous about engaging a personal trainer. My work life balance and general outlook have already improved along with my strength and fitness leaving me more inspired to continue.

What can I say about Marcus? Beestons very own Mr Motivator.

Before signing up with Marcus my get up and go had got up and gone, now I'm raring to go to the gym for training and don't mind looking in the bathroom mirror after a shower again.

My metabolic age has dropped from 56 to 42, weight is down, body tone is improved, I'm at the gym 3 times a week, cycling to and from work when possible (25 mile round trip) and I can go up more than two flights of stairs without being out of breath. Got to be honest, my wife signed me up for this (never would have done myself) but I'm so glad she did :-)

Marcus encourages when you think you can't do any more and knows your l limits better than you do.

Can't recommend Marcus highly enough to absolute beginners like myself or, having seen him with others, seasoned gym goers who want pushing to the next level.

Roll on next session!!

I have been attending sessions with Marcus for around 6 months now and I can't recommend them highly enough !
I have really enjoyed all of the training sessions - the range of exercises is great and ensures I don't get bored. Marcus is a motivational trainer who provides plenty of support and encouragement and works with me mentally and emotionally as well as physically to ensure I continued to hit and indeed exceed my goals.
This is not the first time I've joined a gym BUT it is the first time I've ever stuck to it and enjoyed it.
