I had a great experience. I initially only agreed to have a salesman come over to demonstrate the Kirby because they allowed me to get 3 rooms cleaned for free! I even sat my boyfriend down the night before and told him we are NOT spending this kind of money on a vacuum. We agreed that we would listen to the demonstration, but would not purchase. Well... that changed really quickly. Our salesman was so fast and knowledgeable. A lot of the Kirby parts/pieces are patent so NO other vacuum can use the same design. It sounds like a lot of money upfront, but when you consider the lifespan of a typical vacuum being 3-5 years (sometimes less) compared to the Kirby which has a lifetime warranty... it was a no-brainer. I purchased the Avalir and the 1st time I used it on my pergo floors, I couldn't believe how long the "clean" feeling lasted. It was a solid week or possibly a bit longer until I started to feel sand/dirt/whatever on my bare feet when walking. With my old Shark vacuum, I would feel sand on my bare feet the next day after vacuuming. Great product! I absolutely love all the features! More...
