We recently used Evil Wiener for a neighborhood party we host and they were absolutely amazing! From first contact, management was polite and answered all my questions. Upon arrival the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We couldn't believe how fast the food came out for our guests. The food tasted fresh and was so tasty! We loved all the fun hot dog options they had. We heard nothing but rave reviews from all our guests. I would definitely recommend this food truck if you are considering booking them for your event. Thank you Evil Wiener! More...

The food truck looks clean and the staff is friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with the wait time for my Tex Mex. The hod dog was beautifully made and it was a very good dog for the price. At first I thought it looked a bit small but with the amount of cheese on it, it filled me up. The buns they use for their dogs are exceptionally soft and soak up all the cheesy goodness packed inside these bad boys. if you find the truck around I would definitely stop by and grab a dog. I mean I had almost no time to turn around and talk to my buddy and they were calling my name. The Killer Fries were freaking amazing! VERY reminiscent of Chilantro Kim chi Fries, but with pork instead and big chunks of avacado. The fries are worth it, get one order and share them. Tex-Mex - Perfect combination of flavors, nice snap to the dog, really a great new take on the chili dog. if I had any complaint at all, I would have enjoyed a little more toppings on the dog. Solid 5. Colonel Klink - I'm sure it's completely a personal thing, but didn't enjoy as much as I expected, despite being the seriously best classic combo in my book. The flavor was a little odd, which by the end I determined was the brat itself. Not bad by any means, just perhaps not my favorite brand of brat. This truck came to my workplace recently and we were thrilled for the convenience!  Hooray for food trucks!  Now onto the actual food:Hot dogs, all over the place, that are actually cheaper than the side offerings.  Being the good Texan that I am, I had the cowgirl, a hotdog with brisket, lettuce, onions, pickles and sauce.  While I wished for more brisket in there, the pieces I had were tasty and after all, it was like $5.50.  They also sell the standard Austin drinks - Mexican coke and TopoChico for a couple bucks.  I really appreciate you the part where you can upgrade your hotdog to 1/4 lb for $0.75 more.BONUS ROUND!  You get the thoughts of my coworkers too!Coworker A thought "the hot dog is average but the creativity in the toppings was there -- the tex-mex was excellent" (he may be new to Texas but not new to Tex-Mex, as he's from the southwest)Coworker B thought the overall experience was decent - out of the FIVE he ordered the La Revolucion (wrapped in bacon) and Colonel Klink (brat and sauerkraut) were the best.Coworker C had an americana and a colonel klink and thought the meal was overall very good - he particularly appreciated the "meat to bun ratio".Overall?  I'd welcome this truck back. Hot dogs are such a common, and mostly boring, food that I feel like you have to be really SPECTACULAR to be successful at selling them.  Maybe that's why a place like Frank is able to do so well while many others have tried and failed?Evil Wiener does hot dogs, and overall, they do a good job at them.  But they are not at a Frank level and never will be.  However, there is one thing on their menu that I think is SPECTACULAR and unlike anything I've ever had before:  The Tex-Mex Chili Dog.  What makes this so special is carne guisada (in place of Texas chili) plus a bolillo roll for the bun.  Plus, there's a kick of hot sauce to give a bit of bite.  It may sound all a bit odd, but it works beautifully together and is just an incredibly delicious fantastic take on the tried-and-true chili dog.  If there's one thing you must eat here, it's this. I'd been ignoring the Evil Wiener truck, which comes to my work parking lot every Tuesday for the last several months...  "Really?  Hot dogs?  Is this 7-11?  How can they charge $4 or more for a hot dog?"But I go there now.  I can't tell you if their dogs are hand-errrr-filled (or whatever the industry term is), or how long the carne guisada on the "Killer Fries" is slow-simmered, or whether the pulled pork on the "Carolina" is smoked overnight or comes out of a tub from the Costco.  All I know is I like what I've had.  I've also never felt I needed more than one (and I have a large appetite).  So I've never paid $10 or more for lunch there.Nothing is mind-blowing, but it is fairly creative.  The "La Revolucion" is chock full of fresh onion and tomato flavor, and leaves my mouth with a nice burn.   EW does keep me from burning additional gasoline and wear/tear on my car, and avoids spending the same kind of money on another boring sub sandwich.  And I can get back to my desk that much faster! (half a star off for that)  And Roger is a very personable owner. Is $4.50 too much to spend on a hot dog?  Not for me.  Open your mind a bit, enjoy the food, and don't be such an evil whiner.... { giggles }WIENER. Anyway, these guys showed up at Cobb's "First Thursday" meet once and served up some dang fine wieners. This is a fabulous food truck that's still a mobile truck, and apparently it'll set up wherever you want them to. AWESOME. Mine had queso, pico de gallo, and jalapeños on it, so I happily shoved Evil Wiener's big ol' tube o' meat into my mouth. This hot dog was fairly massive AND delicious. Part of me kind of wanted a fork and knife, not just because it was messy, but because of the sheer size of Evil Wiener's diabolical creation.Like many other hot dog stands, though, I felt like more attention needs to be paid to the bun. Look, guys, if your meat is that long and girthy, you really need to invest in the magnum...hot dog bun. Obviously, you want to keep the bun-to-meat-and-toppings ratio nice and tasty so as not to overwhelm the 'dog with too much bread. Just a couple inches more of bun-coverage would have made a world of difference in making these easier to eat while standing in a parking lot full of cars you don't want to dribble tasty queso and meat-juice on. They do fries with the same kinds of wacky toppings that go onto their hot dogs, too. More...

AMAZING gourmet hot dogs.  Two of us had the Col.
